What uses the most bandwidth on a paysite?
 

Downloading large video files, streaming videos, or a lot of hits? I used up 2500GB on only 57k hits so I wonder if it's my members using it up either downloading files or steamind them?

Check out strongbox and throttlebox from bettercgi.com - they'll help you control access to the site and let you view how many MB of content is being downloaded by your members.

The title of the thread is what uses the most bandwidth on a paysite? In my experience, it's the FHG. Bandwidth was a big surprise to me when I got started - I figured $200 and I'd be good for a month.....The bill was $4k that month from overages.. Good times.. Thankfully the hosting company waived it and only charged me $1700.

Affiliates use the most bandwidth on a paysite. Hell affiliates are your biggest cost for everything in regards to the typical paysite.

Free hosting, hosted galleries, etc.
