Musharraf says GFY

Courts about to rule whether he's eligible to rerun for election.

Bhutto hanging in the side lines to whip his butt

Musharraf fears the inevitable and does the predictable....

Chief Justice booted out , Supreme court surrounded by troops, declares emergency rule and suspends constitution.

Things just got a little whackier in the world

it means idiots like you will use every opportunity to continue to attack the US and everyone of its people while ignoring the obvious problems and real situation on the ground.

.... an unstable democracy, unstable government
.... a nuclear power
.... radical islamic fundamentalism

... do you embrace them, help them and hope for the best?

... or do you sit on your ass in some neutral country and do absolutely nothing and criticise anyone that does anything?

Canada has no real global economic, military and political interests to worry about protecting because it has the benefit of living next to the US... and with that luxury, people like you are afforded the opportunity to do nothing but bitch, complain and do nothing. while your government is silent and NEVER a part of any positive solution.

So please answer my question:

Why is Bush friends with an unstable democracy, nuclear power and a radical islamic fundamentalist haven?

BECAUSE it is/was an unstable democracy with nuclear weapons and islamic fundamentalists

whats so hard to understand that?

is it better to shun them?

is it better for the world and the future to ignore them?

will the world be a safer place in that region in 10 years... in 50 years if the powers in the world refuse to engage them?

what happens next? obviously they start losing US support and more money like the 10 Billion dollars they have recieved over teh last 4 years. there will be consequences.

why do you think everything is about "Bush"? any US president would be treating them in the same way given the complex array of circumstances that exist.

why does britain engage and support Pakistan?

because it makes sense? or because British all people are sheep and retards?

you hate Bush so much and are struggling so hard to find arguments that you can't see the obvious.

become friends with the radical taliban that was harboring Bin laden, had terrorist training bases etc?

Iraq? the country that refused to cooperate with the UN and international community on any level whatsoever for over a decade after invading kuwait?

and i'm a retard?

possibly.

it doesn't bother me at all to think that some jackass on GFY thinks i am a retard.

but you are extremely simplistic and angry and make no sense at all, ever.

This IS what Bush is doing now, he is SUPPORTING Musharraf in Pakistan who has created a haven for the Taliban and the Bin Laden crew.

Do you fucking understand the double standards, it's pretty simple to take in if you have half a brian. :2 cents:

yys 11-04-2007 08:48 AM

The Talibanization of large regions, including major cities, in the north and a rash of suicide bombings might have had a little something to do with it.

i guess thats one weird interpretation of events. he didnt "create" a haven for extremists. it is a haven for extremists because its a weak state with a weak government that has little to no control over the state.

you don't have to be a genius to understand the three possibilities.

1) you ignore an unstable situation that could certainly ignite into war or even nuclear war
2) you ignore a weak government barely hanging on, the alternative to which is a radical islamic fundamentalist government
3) or ... like most of the world, you just do nothing, hope for hte best, offer hugs, bitch about what everyone else is doing and then get upset when some islamic nutjob launches nuclear weapons.

whats with you fucking retards?

politics IS hypocrisy you dumb fucking moron. that is true everywhere. politics is about protecting national interests under the guise of protecting people and doing the right thing. that has always been true and will remain true until the earth finally implodes under the weight of the stupidity of GFY users.

i worded it poorly.

obviously the policy of the US Adminstration is to support them in some ways... i've said that already. supporting them and hoping for a better future is the alternative to that list of other nasty possible outcomes.

i obviously didn't deny bush is supporting them. you need to take your meds, calm down and consider getting some help or the idea of getting back into therapy or whatever it is that helped you get this far along in life without killing yourself and others.

Funny, but did you know Bush when he was gov of Texas tried to do just that? He tried to broker a deal with the Taliban and invited them to Texas to try and work out a deal so Unocal could run a gas/oil pipeline through Afghanistan.

We knew then that the Taliban suppressed women and their people and supported terrorism. However it didn't seem to matter back then to Gov Bush. There are many whom say that the reason we invaded Afghanistan was to take control of the region so the pipe line could be built.

As a side note, one of the first things we did when invading Afghan and setting up their govt, was to secure the deal for the pipe line. It was also rather ironic that the guy we put in charge Hamid Karzai just happens to be a former employee of Unocal. He was also originally pro Taliban back when they first took over again Ironically enough when Unocal was trying to secure the pipe line deal.

But of course our leaders just took us to Afghanistan to suppress the evil Taliban so women could vote and little kids could fly kites.

its always humorous when people like you make fun of FOX News as being the right wing, propaganda fuck story that it is... then cite it as a credible source to back up an argument when the need arises.

as i've said time and time again... politics IS hypocrisy. its about interests. nothing more. i'm not trying to argue against hypocrisy. it would seem that would be incredibly clear by now.

however, you are talking about a time well before afghanistan had become the safe-harbor and breeding ground for terrorism that it was at the time of the invasion and a completely different world.

i understand fully the argument that the US goes WAAAAAAY overboard with the 300 year old "i have a dream" speeches about freedom and democracy when it comes to achieving political objectives. however, that doesn't change the reality on the ground in pakistan today.

its simple... you shun them.... or try to embrace them when they have a willingness to reach out, establish relationships and try in some way to become a part of the global community.

the funny thing about all the comments here is that I am not defending bush. i think he's an idiot. i am not defending US policy. it is what it is. i am not defending any sense of right, wrong or what i percieve to be right or wrong.

i am just saying its all about interests.... end of story. interests shift and change based on the reality on the ground at any given moment. and of course, people keep telling me the same shit which i am basically agreeing with as if i'm being taught some lesson in politics.

Now, suddenly its an obligation of wise and objective people to make sure they are getting the full picture.... so you can continue arguing one side, all the time, in any discussion.
