Pakistan is on the verge of destabilization - Chaos!

Shit is going to hit the fan!!!

Mr. Musharraf is losing control and he declares a state of emergency suspending the constitution.

Hmmm.....

If anybody here reads and knows how to write stories..... I like using this technique "foreshadowing".

Jedi Techniques

You didn't see the other threads? BTW, whatever happens in Pakistan, is by the nod of heads by the people in washington and tel aviv. Musharraf is a puppet for America and Israel. This a prime example of their double standards.

Bonus points for you because properly used the word "placate" in a sentence.

The move appeared to be an effort by General Musharraf to reassert his fading power in the face of growing opposition from the country’s Supreme Court, political parties and hard-line Islamists. Pakistan’s Supreme Court had been expected to rule within days on the legality of General Musharraf’s re-election last month as the country’s president.

Then again I can't help but think - what if Mushy has decided to turn away from Israel and the USA? If you think about it, what else can he do?

All the other parties are so corrupt you can't possibly under any circumstance hand over pakistan to them

The law is suppose to be above everything else, but if all the judges are corrupt? What use is it?

They talk bout implementing democracy, while all the so called democratic parties when in power function in the most undemocratic way.

I don't know what to think on this situation at this point, we'll see how it plays out eh?

There are all corrupt, including Musharraf et al. It's no different to most countries, tho they may put on a face of moral righteousness :-)

Not sure to what degree Musharraf is allied with either the US or Israel - he's prob more interested in his ass. They usually are.

On "democracy" - it's just the buzzword. They all rant and rave about democracy and the fact that they need to, suggests a underlying problem. The one's who shout loudest are usually those with the biggest problems over democracy.

Sure, it is a problem when the justice system gets interfered with by leaders, but again, it's the same in a few countries - including the US. A judiciary may be corrupt, but can still have the ability to despense justice to a level.

The opinions of other countries are prob irrelevant to Pakistan and most likely better they keep their faces out of Pakistan's business, else all hell could break loose.

As you said... see how it plays out :winkwink:

Always noticed the smaller a country is - you can see thru the govt far easier and, more often than not, - they are all "at it" :winkwink:

Saw some papers from a "leaders" office once which were totally faked and untrue - the ulterior motive was a development project where they were getting a cut.

Another.. too absurd, the treasury minister was caught trying while stealing his imported car from the customs compound - to save paying duty :1orglaugh

Hell.. they never stop :winkwink:

The United States has given Pakistan more than $10 billion in aid, mostly to the military, since 2001. Now, if the state of emergency drags on, the administration will be faced with the difficult decision of whether to cut off that aid and risk undermining Pakistan?s efforts to pursue terrorists ? a move the White House believes could endanger the security of the United States.

Musharraf blames terrorism and extremism for his actions.

First thing he does is arrest the lawyers, put under house arrest the judges who were suppose to rule on his legitimacy and arrest moderates.

Crazy!!! Musharraf arrest his people and gives al qaeda amnesty in his land.

LAYERS OF FORESHADOWING
