No More Stuff Magazine... :(

I get this letter in the mail saying that Stuff magazine has ceased operations and the remainder of my subscription will be utilized with Maxim. I already get Maxim! :(

GrouchyAdmin 11-03-2007 09:31 PM

NO SURPRISE THERE!

Shitty no-content magazines die and you get pushed over to shitty, no-cont.. wait a minute.

L-Pink 11-03-2007 09:31 PM

I'll pass on your situation first thing Monday morning.

sicone 11-03-2007 09:52 PM

maxim, stuff and fhm are all the same magazines anyways.. they just recycle content between the 3

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 11-03-2007 09:58 PM

stuff, fhm, maxim = a bunch of shit thats already been on the net for 1+ years with a dozen or so fresh pics of some hot celeb, who you can find on the net anyways...

save your money, keep your internet connection...

Fat Panda 11-03-2007 10:02 PM

i totally agree...maxim/stuff are complete rags...content is terrible with nothing worth reading...hell if they cant even sell it for 9.99/year something is wrong...

warlock5 11-03-2007 10:05 PM

Agreed, maxim is the same BS.. It was ok for about an issue or two then is was pretty much the same old tired BS each issue over and over. I'm suprised they lasted this long.

What gets me is they sell that shit everwhere but mags that actually had good articles like Gear died a early death. Gear was one of my favs was sad to see it go.

stuff just plane sucked..

candyflip 11-03-2007 10:11 PM

I got the same letter, but am getting Blender. Which I'm actually kinda stoked to be getting.

Legit trade magazines are not sold at the grocery store. :2 cents:

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 11-04-2007 10:40 AM

i actually preferred stuff to maxim once upon a time. it's been a few years sinc ei bought them though. all of us can't seem to figure out how they continue to sell because mos tof us are older then 18 around here, if not quite a bit older. i'm gonna take a stab in the dark and guess that around 75% of those buying these mags are 15-20 area. what else do you buy when you can't buy porn?

Pipecrew 11-04-2007 11:00 AM

Girls never seem to complain that cosmo magazine is the same shit every month "25 secrets that will drive your man crazy"

have you ever read some of that shit? i seriously have no clue where they come up with that crap....

AllStar 11-04-2007 11:09 AM

Stuff always sucked.
However Maxim and FHM lick balls too now.
There is a good one out of the UK that is allright but I can't remember the name of it.

I can't figure out why mens mags only last less then 10 years?
GQ- 80's
Details- early 90's
Maxim- 00's
So which Mag is gonna be the next one?

men's health, hands down

Just in case anyone cares....

Stuff started as a special section inside Maxim with all the new gadgets and well...stuff. 8 years ago it became its own magazine and was the 2nd selling mens mag behind Maxim. It still sold pretty well but Dennis Publishing decided it was too much work to keep running both mags and opted to put Stuff back into its special section in Maxim. Rumor is they are making room for a new men's mag next year that will be focused more on the urban scene and feature minority models.

By the way, Maxim is still the top selling men's mag. Outsells Playboy 4 to 1, wouldnt mind that kind of sales on my sites :)

no loss, they all kinda suck anyway..
