GEO IP Billing???????????????
How cool would it be if we could set our price (in our case$29.87) and if the geo script hits a country that charges in Euros it would charge 29.87 in Euros:thumbsup
With todays dollar that would be nice Ofcourse you would have to have the ability to set it yourself, because in Yen it wouldn't fly.. lol Sebs |
if you were your own multi-currency biller, then why not. If you're not, your biller codes wouldn't fly.

Nice going, Dopey. |
You mean 29,87 in USD--->the correct EU price? VXSbill does this...(as far as I understood)

What CC bill does is simply display the US price into Euros with the exchange rate, so it will charge the equal avant just in Euros. Dopey! |
As if NATS isn't already a pain in the ass when it comes to just setting price points..

The advantage of multi currency billing in this way is that surfers will see a fixed, familiar price such as EUR24.95, but it also means that with currency swings you may need to revise pricing more frequently than you would normally... otherwise you'll end up short changing yourself. |

No you retard..THINK. CCBill will let you setup DirectPay/DirectEU so you can bill in Euros. Make 2 signup pages: 1 for US visitors, 1 for Euro visitors(this has the DirectPay/DirectEuro buttons). Then put up a simple GeoIP script(and don't use the GeoIP functionality of CCBill) on your site and redirect them to the proper signup page. |
I THINK SpaCash does that.....
|
Nats can do this I think...Sorry that I misunderstood your question:)

We are doing that today for merchants. We will set up a mid for whichever currencies you want. As long as you can point your EU customer to the specified Paygea mid(GBP, EURO), then that customer will pay the standard membership fee but the merchant gets almost double which drastically brings down your net effective rate. For example: Let's use a big number and say you process a million per month. 90% of your business is USD, 4% is Euro, and 2% is GBP. 4% Euro would = $40k. If your rate was 5%. Your net would be $38,000. Your NEw profit USD would be $53,200 if you were converting the currencies. and so on... Even if you have other accounts, you can test us out with your EU traffic until you are ready to give us the rest of your business:winkwink: This is for a direct merchant account not a third party account. |
I've been talking about this for years, and it always has seemed as though I was just pissing in the wind.
Program owners at the time simply didn't get it. I have been so excited in the last few months seeing the implementation of these options being put to work! Folks want to get the most out international traffic it's really simple 1.)Translate your sites 2.)Offer different billing options (via sms, cascade billing etc....) 3.)Geo target membership fees :2 cents: |
