HughesBilling.com?

I'm in the process of developing a paysite and am considering using hughesbilling.com as a primary credit card biller. I've heard a few good things about them already, although I'd be curious to know if anyone here has used their service?

Apparently they accept Canadian webmasters and Visa acceptance is a non-issue.

I have and they are not bad but small and a bit amatuerish

Thanks for the reply. Did you encounter any outstanding problems with them?

I would be cautious obviously. Consider using VEROTEL for this purpose, they will get you started with all teh bells and whistles and you can test another processor.

I've heard it's a bit of a pain getting onboard with Verotel, and pricey. Is it not necessary to incorporate offshore in order to use their service?

From the affiliate perspective, I promote one program that uses Hughes. Got about a year's history with them. The checks come on time, the affiliate stats are primitive but functional, the amenities (stuff like campaign tracking and good traffic referral capture) are non-existent.

I did have one day when all my links were going to a hughes billing error page. That never got explained, but it did get fixed fairly fast.

Not really an endorsement, simply provided as data.

You may want to research it a bit chief before broad stroking a processor that many stand behind, and can help out the Canucks and Aussies w/o hefty cost, or trouble setting up.

There is more than one way to go in how you set up your account.

I wrote an email to Verotel over ten days ago now asking a very simple question and have had no response yet. I did receive their automated "we will respond within 24 hrs" though, so I know that my inquiry made it past the spam filters.

Roll with the big boys :)

Netbilling rocks!

So you're a merchant? Interesting..

Why haven't you just logged into live chat and asked them directly? Or called in 10 days?

Must not have been that important.

not at all. They are quite reasonable

HairToStay 11-06-2007 05:24 AM

Never a late payment in 4+ years of using them as a backup processor.

mmaisonet 11-06-2007 09:02 AM
