Dog's N-Word Victim Bites Back with Lawsuit?

http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.tm...que_bn_tmz.jpg
The woman whose relationship with Duane "Dog" Chapman's son Tucker pushed him to bark out his now-infamous N-word-laced rant against her is planning to growl back with a lawsuit of her own, according to the National Enquirer.

Monique Shinnery, against whom Dog used the racial epithet several times during his taped tirade, tells the tab that she's going to sue for slander. "I want justice," says Monique. "He has slandered me, stated that I have bad character and repeatedly lied about me on national television."

Chapman has said on his recent whimpering tour that he apologized to Shinnery, but her lawyer tells the Enquirer that Dog reached out through his lawyer, not personally.

I am still laughing how this whole thing is over exactly what he was afraid it was going to happen... I'm still not convinced that it wasn't just a huge, strange publicity stunt.

abadfish 11-08-2007 08:07 PM

"He has slandered me, stated that I have bad character and repeatedly lied about me on national television."

Well... shouldn't be suing her boyfriend then? He is the one that sold it to the enquirer and made it national news.

Spunky 11-08-2007 08:08 PM

C_U_Next_Tuesday 11-09-2007 07:17 AM

She needs to sue herself and her boyfriend ,whom I am sure was nagged until he did sell this audio clip for a few bucks.

Wont get dime one. Dog was recorded unknowingly while talking on the phone with a family member who sold the tape to tabloids.

IF she actually had a case and won How many of us could find somone to sue with there secretly recorded private phone calls...what a fuckin joke.

Pics Traffic 11-09-2007 07:29 AM

Slander? So if someone calls me cracker its a slander?
He should have used "porch monkey" instead of N word.

TurboAngel 11-09-2007 07:52 AM

tape should be inadmissible in court, and there's always the problem of whoever made the tape initially being charged with an illegal wiretap.

Hey, why get a job and earn you own money when you can sue and just take someone else's money? Fuck

Shagbunny 11-09-2007 10:07 AM

DaddyHalbucks 11-09-2007 11:04 AM

If she really does file a lawsuit, it could open up a can of worms for her. Her character would become the issue, and it would be fair game in court. To me, it sounds like she is someone who is hurt and lashing out. I doubt there will be a lawsuit.

I really hope she does sue...it seems that she was spending some time trying to trap them into doing something. He spoke of a time where this girl and some friends showed up trying to get Beth to fight them and say something racial, while someone videotaped it.

The whole thing was planned, the girls showed up not wearing normal clothing, but clothing they didn't mind getting dirty in.

This alone would show the girl has bad character, and was trying anything and everything she could to entrap these people.

ServerGenius 11-09-2007 11:14 AM

He will win....he didn't say it on national television, he said it in a private
conversation over the phone.....his son brought it to National Television.

Tom_PM 11-09-2007 11:15 AM

On Larry King they showed a clip of her from another show, and Dog said that was the first time he'd EVER seen her.

Puts a different perspective on his phone call when you realise he'd NEVER met her before. Ever.

He came off like he was upset that he was heard. He never said he was sorry about anything other than "what has happened". Cry me a fucking river.

Brother Bilo 11-09-2007 11:18 AM

Seriously though, what the fuck?! Like anyone held Dog up on some kind of high moral pedestal and now his whole world is coming down. He's a fucking scumbag who's job is to collect other scumbags.

Is it really that big of a suprise to anyone. Anyways, didn't he say that this girl was getting his son supplies to pass his piss tests and shit? Like she's some kind of saint or something.

Sue the son. He's the asshat that released the tape to the media. I'm pretty sure you can't sue someone for slander if in was in private. And it was a private phone call right????

What if I'm in California and the person recording me is in Hawaii? Is there enough consent?

Then it becomes a grey area. There are a couple of exceptions. In the state of California, one party consent can be applied only under circumstances in which one party is involved in criminal activity which would include extortion or blackmail. Otherwise one should typically apply the more strict state law, so in your instance default to CA phone law.

Anyone remember Linda Tripp? That was a state line case with a one party consent and a all party consent.

Not legal advice
