Webair or whom to host blogs?

So I am looking for a place to host maybe 5 to 10 blogs. I think a virtual setup would be ok to start off with as this is not mission critical...mostly we are exploring some new techniques. I am considering something like the Webair 2 package.

I'm pretty wary of virtual at this point...We put up a blog and a TGP on another well known and supposedly highly recommended by GFY hosting company and our very small site was in effect down for nearly six months. It has actually never recovered from this and we wasted a $10k domain name on the project.

So what about Webair? And do they have ffmpeg on their boxes? And if not them then whom?

I had a startup company I was launching a while ago and chose webair to launch it with. it took us about 3-4 months of programming and design to get the site launched, in that time we were down approx half the time...it seemed like every time we went to work on the site we had to get tech support to get the server working again...needless to say we didn't launch using webair..lol

According to the GFY dojo of drama I think I should maybe turn in for the night, crash my word processor, post a few blurry pics, and then if I remember what I was doing in the morning I might say something.

What I find funny about this thread is that you spent 10k on a domain name and your looking for a virtual account to stick it on...:1orglaugh And this is after some cheap ass host had you down for 6 months already?? Dude you are destin for failure plain and simple with those kinds of decissions already. Now you ask about hosting at webair ?:1orglaugh They have got to be one of the worst virtual hosts in the biz based on all the negative webair threads about them. Mate you need to get off 100 bucks or so and get with a real host that knows what their doing. Try talking to mojohost, natnet, TechieMedia, Isprime, ect... There are more, but the point is you need a real server and a real host not some cheap ass virtual for 5 bucks......ok nuff said.:2 cents::2 cents:

Shagbunny 11-09-2007 10:25 AM

webair is fine for virtual hosting

WebairGerard 11-09-2007 11:39 AM

Please feel free to contact me for assistance with either the Webair 2 plan or a dedicated server that would best meet your needs. :thumbsup

Phatservers.com you will like their support and network.

fris 11-09-2007 01:56 PM

webair goes down more than a vegas hooker

undersoul 11-09-2007 02:27 PM

I started on webair virtual and it was as good if not better than other virtuals I used at other hosts. all of them had their share of issues from time to time.

Have my own box now with webair and loving it! good luck with your search.
