my dog update

I forgot to do this, its been a bad two weeks for doggie care.
Shorty my boston who is 5,had to have his tail removed it was ingrown causing him problems. He had surgery on thursday. He is doing good.
CJ my oldest boston has been having a rough time. I had him at a pet hotel, they really didnt monitor him and he got a really bad ulcer on his eye. It erupting on him on Saturday. Lucky I had painkillers here for him, he is now on two painkillers and two antibiotics. The vet thinks surgery is a bad option for him, so we are trying to heal the eye it wont be pretty but he will live.
Cj is my biggest pain in my ass, a demanding little old man. When monday morning he was crying at 530 am and I didnt know what do for him.It was so heart breaking. I love the little bastard.

CJ also has cancer in his lymph nodes, so surgery could kill him. My vet said he has saved eyes in this situation before, it wont be pretty but no surgery.

To give a idea of the differences. When I first got shorty the vet I took him to said he has a ingrown tail it has to go, call this surgical group. I call they quote me $1800 dollars just for the surgery. He wasnt having problems with it at the time so I did nothing. He now started having problems and the vet I have now is really in it for the love of animals. He said the tail has to go, it will cost $300 bucks to do. After some extras like teeth cleaning he was out already and other misc bullshit it was $539. A hell of lot cheaper than $1800. I figure to go to a eye specialist it got to be close to two grand, my vet I figure would be a little less than half.
