Could name a few name here but I will be nice :)

GrouchyAdmin 11-15-2007 05:24 PM

If memory serves, that's actually for that school which was doing the multinetworked systems to act as one 'larger' machine.. This predated the G4 version, but I'll be damned if I can remember the name of the school, now.

Yea I'm pretty sure I've seen the pic b4 but it's been awhile and can't remember from where. I just came across it again and thought it was funny enough to post. :winkwink:

Wouldn't want to be in charge of fixing the wiring if there was a situation, lol

teg0 11-15-2007 05:33 PM

God damn. thats just wrong on so many levels.

TidalWave 11-15-2007 05:35 PM

thats ours, we use the wiring for insulation for the servers. its too cold in the datacenter so we have to trap some of the heat to keep the hard drives from locking up from frostbite.

What a cluster fuck. Hope for their admins that nothing goes wrong, couldn't imagine having to go through all that mess trying to fix something.

Iron Fist 11-15-2007 07:14 PM

So thats why search is always fucked up! Your query results often cannot find a route back to the submitter because the LAN is too fucking complex to allow it to find you before a timeout.

Having cleaned one of those (not quite THIS degree) before, what you do is when it dies, you replace the cable and reroute it to an entirely different port until you can 'unbury' it.

Took me almost six months with a job maybe a quarter this bad because I could not move people until they had a planned 'outage' for about 5 seconds.

I wanted to physically harm the people who created the mess, but they were long gone before I started on it. :error
