dedicated or....?

go dedicated or buy a host server and host from home?

If you have a really good internet connection i guess that you could host it, but i would go with a dedicated server.

say if I went with fiber optic... unlimited bandwidth?

Save money in the long run? Is the lack of support worth it?

#1. home isps ban servers of any type
#2. ive never known a home isp to have reliable uptime, they go down, stuff becomes inaccessible at times etc. they have no reason to make sure its 100% up all the time

#3. itll cost you about $1000 for the server... then like $100/month at least for a fast enough line?
you could get real colo for that price and not have the hassle or a $80/month dedicated

you can always try and see how you like it though
