google tried to compete against youtube by creating video.google.com but failed... so eventually Google bought youtube

what happened to video.google.com? is it still being promoted in any way nowadays?

i know that google bought youtube

but what happened to googles video.google.com :question

they didnt merge with youtube, the content isn't the same
so i wonder if video.google.com gets promoted today in any way anymore, now after google doesnt need to compete against the much more popular youtube.com because they own it

I think they're deliberately keeping it open as a lower key alternative to keep multiple traffic sources open....the boobie is still open....:winkwink:
