DVD Ripper

Whats the best way to copy a dvd to my hardrive so I can work on it and edit it. I have tried DVD ripper but no luck on my mac.

Any thing else you guys can recommend?

Videocharge for the whole shebang. Ripping, editing, re-encoding in multiple formats, cutting, uploading blah blah blah...
