Offered $1000 for http://hooga.com not a site just a stupid name I bought. Should I counter offer or take the money and run?

pornask 12-04-2007 08:35 AM

I'd sell it for a grand.

mn 12-04-2007 08:37 AM

i would keep it. or tell him you want $10k and then go down to $5k...

Kron 12-04-2007 08:45 AM

Probably is best to sell, but try to squeeze cople hundreds more

tranza 12-04-2007 08:46 AM

I'd sell it, but try to bargain first. Never take the first offer.

:2 cents:

baddog 12-04-2007 08:46 AM

Agreed. :thumbsup

s9ann0 12-04-2007 09:24 AM

if its doesn't get much type-ins I'd sell for that

Matt 26z 12-04-2007 09:25 AM

Holding assumes that an equal offer will be on the table down the road. This domain is so stupid that I wouldn't let this buyer walk away.

mynameisyep 12-04-2007 09:31 AM

if you want I help you to sell it

martinsc 12-04-2007 09:35 AM

take the money and run....

Vick! 12-04-2007 11:37 AM

If you don't have any plans associated with the domain name, sell it. $1k is more than reasonable, but depending on his first offer for the domain make a counter offer and squeeze a couple hundred more.

CaptainWolfy 12-04-2007 12:09 PM

take the money and run :D

There are 450k google search results for Hooga, so might be worth more to the right buyer.

Figure it this way, if you have a target price of what you'd like for the name, say $2,500, whats you're better option, take $1k now and build that $1k to $2,500 or wait 3 years till someone gives you the $2,500?

DaddyHalbucks 12-04-2007 12:18 PM

Why not counter-offer, what have you got to lose? You can always lower your price, right?

makefuckingmoney 12-04-2007 12:19 PM

why not just take my 1100

Fake offer, appraisal scam.

If real, take the money and run.

LiveDose 12-04-2007 12:56 PM

Counter offer. If someone is offering that, they really want the domain.

Choker 12-04-2007 01:30 PM

I have over 1500 domains I have been sitting on for years, most much better than that one. I bought them on speculation, 99% for $7 each. Been waiting on the market to reach saturation point. From what I have seen good domain names still continue to go up in value. The prices I see guys paying for STUPID names is unreal.

Fletch XXX 12-04-2007 01:32 PM

stupid name to you, brand essence to someone else.

teg0 12-04-2007 02:31 PM

i'd sell it

PornMogul 12-04-2007 02:32 PM

nothing very special about it, id take the money and run

V_RocKs 12-04-2007 02:37 PM

Sell and take 1/2 money and buy 4 more hoogas...

cherrylula 12-04-2007 02:53 PM

:1orglaugh

SomeCreep 12-04-2007 02:54 PM

Take money. Run.

Christina Muller 12-04-2007 03:13 PM

Lets get real here,

Dont say its brandable ,I could think of 50 like that in a hour ,If you had just posted and said who wants to buy this maybe $50 would have been the top offer max.

Dont insult with counter offers ,its a great price for a not so great domain..take it quick ..bank the $$$$..job done.

Just my 2 cents :thumbsup

glad to see some people on these boards still have a clue. It's more likely you are being targeted by the appraisal fraud crew as pointed out above, but in case someone is on crack and would give you a grand for this domain, take it and call it the luckiest day of your life. And hope they won't find you when they sober up from crack.
