Metro still gets tossed around in random conversations still, but definetely not like it used to.

Metro's were just closet flamers, just weren't ready to come out and admit it, but their clothes and actions did a lot of talking for them though.

Most slang is like that. While some terms like "cool" continue to be used, most end up being out of the lexicon in a few short years. Who really uses "groovy" or who still calls the police "the fuzz" and hear the term "jive turkey" lately?
