Yeah, life is great for Yankees in Brazil, just like in Cancun, Acapulco ..... or Costa Rica.

But for Brazilians and Mexicans, it's another story.

hiring illegals is great. you hire them to do a job, then when it is time to pay them you call INS on them. INS will take them all away and you don't have to pay them. what a country!

the economy is better in brazil than here, hence the move home.

G-Rotica 12-05-2007 11:41 AM

The Brazillians are ok people for the most part. How do we get rid of the Mexicans?

read the story, the dollar has dropped so low, with the cost of living in the US so high, it's better live in Brazil. -bmb

being an illegal has it's perks..

twice in the past year there have been gangbang RAPES in our area... the offenders were simply deported..

And there's at least 5-10 grow houses and drug dealers busted each week.. and again the offenders are deported..

funny thing, some of them have been deported more than once lol...

If i went to Mexico, you think i could commit crimes and if i was caught they would just send me back?

Odd that this has nothing to do with the link bmb posted.

In answer to your last question, - depending on the crime, yes, they would kick your ass back - prob into the hands of a govt officer. It happens every day and not just from Mexico - there are a few Learjets dedicated to doing this.

The article is actually about families who made the decision to return home for serveral reasons - in the instance of Brazilian folks and economically, the value of the real against the dollar has changed 50%+ in recent years.

Given a choice prob a fair number would like to continue living in the US, but if they are considering home purchase etc - leaving is not an option - Brazil has a more attractive real estate market (same with many other Latin/South American markets).

Everyone is different - depends what they are looking for. Can give plenty examples of US folks leaving the US and setting up home in eg Latin American countries for whatever reasons. One major reason given is that they feel safer raising their families in these countries and can think of a few US lawyers who could not wait to take a fee cut to live in other countries - the overall effect is that they were gaining much more by being admitted to the bar elsewhere.

This has nothing to do with rape or drugs dealers :winkwink:

GreyWolf: Stop making sense, it confuses idiots.

i know it had nothing to do with rape or drug dealers... it was just in reference to "illegals leaving" (or in this case deported a few times).. LOL

DaddyHalbucks 12-05-2007 01:06 PM

It's OK with me.

:)

With the way Real value increased against the dollar, it's easy to understand why they are coming back.
