Saw "I am Legend" today

Pretty good movie man :thumbsup
I had originally read a script of it I found here on GFY, and it varied from it a lot but it was still a good movie.

Some parts scary, and some sad.

Worth the $20 :thumbsup

D 12-14-2007 06:43 PM

Cool... I am looking forward to it, myself.

~Ray 12-14-2007 06:58 PM

....Don't think so, while it will definitively be on IMAX I haven't read or heard anything about the 3D version:

http://www.imax.com/ImaxWeb/static/s...er/welcome.jsp

.....3D would be cool though.....

V_RocKs 12-14-2007 07:44 PM

Dark Knight... not called Batman because it is a movie made from a special series of Batman comics called The Dark Knight.

Lets see here that would be 5 bucks each, 2.50 for popcorn and 1.50 for soda for two adults. Everything for under 20 bucks. Country living is so cool at times

Bojangles 12-14-2007 09:16 PM

I may check it out. I'm not expecting much tho.

It only costs me $9 because I always go by myself. I have no one to go to the movies with. I am going by myself tonight to see I Am Legend. I hope no one notices I'm alone and looks at me weirdly.

Basic_man 12-14-2007 09:23 PM

Was planning on seeing it tonight, but the girl was too lazzzzzzy :Oh crap

SamMingle 12-14-2007 09:25 PM

I really want to see it! Is it worth seeing in the theatre? Or am I better to wait and rent it?

tony286 12-14-2007 10:04 PM

ThreeXes 12-14-2007 10:16 PM

i'm looking forward to seeing it this weekend! :thumbsup you're never alone in a theater!

tony286 12-14-2007 10:19 PM

I actually prefer going alone to a movie, its a solitary act watching a movie to me. its nice to have someone to go to coffee with afterwards to talk about it.My wife doesnt like going so i go alone.

The Ghost 12-14-2007 11:22 PM

Definitely worth while to go to a theater to see it though I don't like it if its a packed house, but you may have missed you chance since it'll be full all this weekend unless you go to a matinee showing.

Snake Doctor 12-15-2007 12:21 AM

We went to see it tonight but it was sold out.

Maybe we can catch it sometime over the weekend.

It's not a "No Country for Old Men" , but a Pretty entertaining movie, I think you have to see it on the big screen though.

What was great about "No Country for Old Men"? It looked good but then simmered down... LMK, i wanna catch it if its good :winkwink:

DWB 12-15-2007 02:19 AM

Anyone catch the Bob Marley reference in I AM LEGEND? They play a few songs, Will Smith picks up a CD and says it's the best CD every made. It was Bob Marley's LEGEND. Clever. :thumbsup

Horny Dude 12-15-2007 02:20 AM

Yeah Will Smith rocked. Great Friday night movie.

I def want to see No Country for Old Men....that is my next pick!

SPACE GLIDER 12-15-2007 02:22 AM

Cool. Can't wait to see that

BOSS1 12-15-2007 02:58 AM

If I go alone it's only for matinees when I have the day off and when everybody is at work. The theatre is empty and it feels like you own the place.

dig420 12-15-2007 03:06 AM

Great book! I've heard the movie veers quite a lot from Matheson's work but that it's still good.

million 12-15-2007 03:18 AM

I have to see it!

I thought it (no country) was a great movie. Unpredictable, violent, incredibly evil villain, great story and acting & most importantly - doesn't follow the Hollywood formula. I'd say many people will hate it because of the ending, but those people with limited intelligence who dont get the ending , the first 3 quarters of it are worth the price of admission alone.

Adultnet 12-15-2007 11:08 AM

thats cool i also want to see the movie :) should be great.!

DollarKing 12-15-2007 12:33 PM

I don't get excited by films anymore probably because i have seen 2 many over the years and just see gloss and marketing riding high above substance value but the studios know that with newer generations coming all the time above other things like peoples tastes that there will always be a buck to be made out of them.
I remember watching films like total recall and loved them because special effects were newer to me then than now where it seems to be all effects over substance.
Good acting and good scripts give a film its lasting value to one viewer which is why i can still watch films like scarface and casino over and over again.
I like mm and have watched 'dont bother to knock' quite a few times over.
What film can people here watch over and over again and why?

KILL_FRENZY 12-15-2007 03:48 PM

I go to the movies by myself all the time. As a matter of fact, about half the things I do, I roll solo. Movies, out to eat, bars, etc.

If you can't enjoy your own company, why should anyone else?

I saw "Legend" today (not alone this time) and it was better than I expected :thumbsup

Just Mike 12-15-2007 05:18 PM

Is this REMAKE differnt or better then the Charleton Heston OMEGA MAN version?

The OMEGA MAN Version was a really good movie (A little low production values) but overall a good flick

yup, it doesnt follow the script.

the script got me all hyped for the movie in the first place. i wonder why they deviated, perhaps it was too intricate.
