Love that show. Used to watch it with my father when I was younger. I got him the final 2 hour movie on DVD for his birthday this year...

watching the same thing...:) the location they shot the show is close to my home. I need to take my dog for a hike down there one day.

I still think it's funny they used to have a black guy on the show and his name was "Spear Chucker". Testament to the times I guess.

you know what's really funny about this: they had the black surgeon in the first episodes of the TV series - and then he disappeared. i read they took him out cause they found out that there were no black doctors in the korea war. but if you read the link i posted above from a real MASH surgeon you will read that he had a black colleague in his unit. :upsidedow

MASH was great - it ran on too long - not sure what season I bailed on it - losing Trapper and Henry Blake sucked - i always hated BJ Hunnicutt, Col Potter was ok though but Henry Blake character was better, Winchester was a great addition. It just went too long beyond what it should have been, nothing left to say or do with the characters or subject matter - Hawkeye got too serious and pedantic in the later years.

MASH is my all time favorite show. Barry purcahsed the entire boxset for me which includes the MASH movie. I have also read the book.
I quote lines from the show all the time, that most people don't understand nor appreciate it my humor...but that doesn't stop me.
I purchased a used MASH book a few years ago from author David Reiss copyright, 1980. Since then, I have had it autographed from Jamie Farr and Gary Burghoff. I attempted to get an autograph from David Ogden Stiers, but he's to pompous and only autographs for charity. He must still feel like he's living in his heyday.

I've also visited the MASH newsgroup as Larry Gelbart, one of the original producers of MASH and the producer of the popular movie, Tootsie visits it often and enjoys speaking to his fans.

I prefer the second cast, Charles Emerson Winchester, Col Potter..etc the writing and plots became more dramatic.

Back when they did drama without all of the lamer Grey's Anatomy bullshit.

Th crossdresser guy is funny.... but needs to shave those legs.... :(

i watched 16 episodes of season 7 yesterday. will continue with season 8 today :thumbsup

i feel somehow the same, especially about Henry Blake. i had a tear in my eye on his last episode. :(
