Can we expect some action from the music industry in 2008?

It's apparent now that people behind the adult industry can't do enough clean the acts of megaupload, rapidshare, torrents and tube sites like rude. They aren't taken seriously and not big enough to do damage either. I guess the adult biz needs some example cases from mainstream industries like music, film etc. Given that music sales have hit another low this year, can we expect some rough action from them (especially about user-uploaded content) that will set an example for the adult biz as well?

We do and its going after individuals who download songs for free and then get hit with a $200,000 judgment.

Not a great lead for the industry to follow. Alienating end consumers is not the way to go.

Creating new revenue streams that cannot be ripped and downloaded is.

I think live shows with interaction are the future of the industry.
