I have always built my own, so its always just a part here or there to keep up with changing technology, but if I was going to buy a second one I would just buy a Dell XPS, Cheaper then building the same computer from parts most of the time.

Building one right now and I get most of my parts from Frys Electronics here in San Diego. They have some great deals.

I am about to convert to the dark side. I bought a mac book on new year's eve. Now I am ordering an iMac this week. I never thought I would be one of "them."

It's one the reasons I'm not a big fan of Apple: the attitude of some of their users. :)

That's exactly my problem with mac. I HATE those pretentious, starbucks sipping peckerheads.

Just wait until you can jump from Ubuntu to Windows to OSX without leaving OSX. (VMWare Fusion)

We have 2 of the new 21'' iMacs, 1 Macbook and I just ordered a desktop to power the two 30'' LCDs I won from YappoDollars. My brother made an offer for my Macbook, so I might be upgrading that soon too.

Once you go Mac, you never go back :winkwink:

Yeah, really I was a little ho-hum about the mac until I installed quicksilver. Now I am wondering how I possibly used a PC as long as I did. My only real beef so far is that the mighty mouse sucks shit. Fortunately my logitech g9 works just fine.

Yep, I hear Bill Gates doesn't get his coffee from Starbucks either.

The MM is just something you get used to, or not. Quicksilver is a cool app, that I'm just starting to get more benefit from.

Check out VMWare Fusion if you haven't already.

I have no real preference between Mac and PC in terms of hardware, although I loathe the phony smarmy Mac advertising. But all our software is PC, so I'm really shopping for PCs.
