Is there a way to check the utility records ?
If someone is trying to sell you a house and the people selling it cant tell you what the utilities cost (or will not) how do you find out? Please, no stupid fucking answers saying that you shouldn't buy it if they don't tell you..... even if they do tell you they could be lying.

Depending on where you live, obtaining municipal records is a matter of public record. In Iowa, it's called the "Open Records Law."

I have bought in three different states and you can just call the utility you want to know about.
