I can't believe I have been forced to install this. Anyone readily familiar with it yet? I can't find stuff. Maybe you can give me a couple pointers.

Uninstall it. Install Trillian 2.

Yeah, with all the people that routinely say "I am uninstalling this piece of shit Trillian" I will get right on that. :)

Trillian 3+ is shite. 2 is best.

I still use like ICQ 3 or 4... Works all the same and the spam all still functions which they removed in the later versions hehe

I've had 6 for quite a while. Don't like it much, but I'm used to it.

what are you having problems finding on icq 6? been using it for a while and like it...

the minute i upgraded to 6 - i un-installed it and installed pidgin... :thumbsup

I can not figure out where the history is. That is the primary feature I can not find for now.

Anyone know how to make it minimize to the task bar?

I know that you can close it when it is at the bottom and it stays active in the task bar, but as soon as you open it again (from the task bar) it comes right back to the bar at the bottom.

Another thing, sorting by name.

With older versions I could sort by name as well as by whether they are on or offline. This version seems to mix on and offline contacts together unless I hide all offline contacts.

At the top of the ICQ table there is a window above your name that reads ?main? and ?contacts?, click on the contacts button and a window will drop...from there you can set preferences or you can right click over the persons name to view categories and I believe settings.

I am using ICQ 6, it's ok to me

I uninstalled ICQ 6 and got it back to 5.1

wheew... same thing i did when i got the 6, i uninstalled it the same day and placed back the 5.1 version.

hmm aren't they sorted by name automatically and status with you?

They are sorted by name, with the online and offline contacts all listed together.

Need to figure out setting custom away messages too now.

that will be an option when you change your status (write a note > insert new message).. but weird that they are listed together :/ mine are sorted by name and status as default
