Europe Tax question

What is it like for individual webmasters in Europe in terms of tax?

If you're only an affiliate of various programs as an individual without a company, do you have to pay tax?

MaDalton 01-09-2008 08:05 PM

sure - how much depends from which country you are. there's no country "europe" regarding income tax

my girlfriend got a job offer in the UK. i checked the websites, it seems like you only have to pay when a UK customer buys stuff but how can I know who is from UK? all I receive are payments to epassporte and wires.

That's VAT lol, you still have to pay normal tax and if you don't the taxman will eventually catch up with you. You have to register as self employed and put down your yearly earnings bracket and then you will be given an invoice or it will be taken out of your bank each year. :upsidedow

Epass payments are a grey area depending on how long you stay in the UK.

exactly

I think one of the reasons so many people use epassporte is that they don't claim the income received throguh it. On a small scale it probably will work, no one will notice that you're withdrawing $2k per month from local ATM's from an offshore card.
