as compared to a Dual Xeon 3.4mhz ???

depends on the type of application. Some of the Xeon's have shitloads of cache and are badass for certain types of applications that can take advantage of the fast cache.

Raw type power like video encoding the Xeon clock speed will make it close.

Im assuming he's talking about one of the old Xeon 3.4.

What is the MODEL NAME of this Core2Duo 2.66Ghz? I bet you it has more cache then the old Xeon 3.4 CPU.
