More tube site info

Over the last few hours Iv got several emails from members here and other forums that are concerned about my tube script ( TEVS ). I asume its from the number of threads here on GFY about tube sites.

- TEVS is a sponsors approved tube script.

If a TEVS webmaster is using stolen content on his site, then the owner of the content can email me ( support [ @ ] bigdotmedia.com ) and I will look into this matter. If the webmaster does not remove the content then his license will be terminated.

I will not stand for webmasters that use TEVS with stolen content.

Thanks for your time.

There you go. Kudos!

Just curious are all your scripts marked or are people able to buy an unmarked copy of your script.

Oracle Porn 01-17-2008 04:10 AM

so now script creators became policemen?

There is an unbranded version.

BTW - Who ever add me to their ICQ, it crashed. So add me again.

VicD 01-17-2008 04:45 AM

So if they pay to get it unbranded, then we can not report it and thus they are off the hook of having thier license yanked?

How much is this protection or upgrade?

Please note I do like what your trying to do I just hate loopholes and as you are aware many of them are using a loophole to post such stolen content.

Zorgman 01-17-2008 04:58 AM

If they use stolen content and they don't remove it then their license is terminated -- period. If they continue to do the same thing they will loose their license without notice. There is no user uploads for TEVS (its all webmaster only) so their is no way to put the blame on someone else (like a user upload).

The unbranded version doesn't mean they get away with anything. I know all the sites running TEVS. It just means that it doesn't say Powered by TEVS. If your not sure if the site is using TEVS or not, email me anyway. I will check it.

No loophole here.

LOL, pretty much what i thought.

Seems to me that the script author is more concerned about making money than policing the stolen content.

candyflip 01-17-2008 09:30 AM

Good position Dean. :thumbsup

I'm betting the source code, or the url would give away the script being used. It does in about 99% of cases ;)

Did you read what I wrote? I would say you didn't.
This is my business and of course im interested in making money (who isnt?) but if the webmaster uses stolen content I will terminiate the license.

If you steal from others there is a good chance your steal from me too.

Another way to view it is a script writer has found a positive selling point setting his product apart. :2 cents:

Easton 01-17-2008 10:22 PM

Due to all the recent talk (redtube etc) Iv bumped this thread because once again im getting questions regarding using full length videos on TEVS script or stolen content questions.

Im going to say it again.

I will not stand for webmasters that use TEVS with stolen content.

campimp 02-14-2008 09:23 AM

candyflip 02-14-2008 09:53 AM

Only had to use it once so far. Russian guy, didn't read the license agreement, and started to use full length movies from 2 sponsors. Funny enough he asked them if he could use them. They both said NO, he kept using them. He's site been closer for over a week. He's pissed, but that's what happends when you try and use stolen content.

Sosa 02-14-2008 11:04 AM

How hard is it get this installed, and do you know of any good designers that can theme a site around TEVS?

Zorgman 02-14-2008 11:10 AM

The install process is very easy. I made a video tutorial of it so you can see how easy it is. http://www.bigdotmedia.com/tevs.php
At the bottom right. There are more tutorials down there too that explaine everything about TEVS.

Konrad from Mechanical Bunny Media can help you with a theme and design.

Davy 02-14-2008 11:26 AM

Great stuff, Zorgman! I like your strict policy. :thumbsup

Zorgman 02-14-2008 11:37 AM

Thanks Davy. I think 99% of webmasters agree with my policy but some seem to think it's not my job to enforce the rules on webmasters. They think it should be left up to lawyers and such.
