Never try combining the Internext with the pleasure trips. Las Vegas surroundings have way too much to offer!

Awesome pics. I've been almost everywhere you pictured. I'm a geology buff so the pics are even more uplifting for me. lol Vegas definitely has some very beautiful places around her.

Nookster, my wife is a geology buff too! She is the one who introduced me to the wonders of nature, I used to be more of a cathedral/art galleries buff.

I was just there for 12 days and went to CES, AEE, and Internext, but thought the extra few days would be tourist days instead of recovery days... This is good advice, and I'm planning a non-convention trip back soon :thumbsup

The next time you have 12 TOURIST DAYS,
allocate some time for Utah Canyons!

We went to Red Rock back in October. It is really a beautiful place.

It was AWESOME!! :) And we didn't have to worry about smoke ;)

I swear I look more like my mother every day - just 50 pounds heavier.

There are some of the most different looking places I have ever been.. You could spend years and years looking around.. I have film from shooting these areas for years.. and the look of all of these places is just unreal.

Yea.. I like the other images.. better.. I don't normally shoot in to the sun because canon lens are the best at flair..

zeiss lens are a lot better at that..

I know one of my photography teacher used to tell me all the time.. that ansel adam would go out.. and just set up his camera.. and drink a beer.. or a six pack.. and wait for the right light..

I am not sure how true that is.. but all the same.. it is even more true today..
