I don't know much about the genre, but I love me some Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss and the Hot Snakes.

it was all great, one of a few bands whose albums i can listen straight through over and over and over again. loved 40oz to freedom.

i love them all but i just remember being mega-tripped out especially listening to that one. :P

Dude, warts are good and all... but fucking A... I'm gunna burn you up the ED HALL albums and send them to you and you'll dig it.... they've put their catalog on the public download so it's available but man the shit;s excellent.. trust me.

All the shit coming out of Austin in the late 80's early 90's when they were trying to fend off the record company onslaught that was happening in Seattle was amazing.. Trance Syndicate records kept Austin on their own and kept them from being the next big MTV baby grunge sensation.. and that's an excellent thing.

Oh yeah, and by the way, this is my band playing Ace of Spades a couple of months ago... the vid is wacky because I filmed it with a camera strapped to the end of my bass guitar

Uhhmm... Stoner Rock is a genre, not just music that you think is for listening to stoned. I guess I know more than I thought.

Sublime = ska-punk.

Pink Floyd = Classic Rock

Queens Of the Stone Age = Stoner Rock

Cake sure did have their moments. Comfort Eagle was a prett good album, I used to LOVE short skirt/long jacket. They just played catchy tunes...

I'm not sure exactly what Stoner Rock is, but when I used to smoke a lot of weed my favorite guy to listen to was Jimi Hendrix.
