NEW alternative billing method.

...and it won't use any of the current platforms (merchant or 900) but will have instant mainstream acceptance. Nope, nothing you've seen yet online. It isn't fancy, but neither are the people that use AOL 7.

Wahoo! Another pet project for Brad.

It appears that my previous work experience might come in handy after all. More news to follow...?

Fro! Quit your fucking day job already.

:winkwink:

Cheers,

Brad

Brad Mitchell 10-02-2002 08:38 PM

I'm just riding the high of today's ultrasound where I saw our baby moving.

...but yes, I actually do have something viable here. :thumbsup

I think PayPal might be the next big thing for adult. Their model is different enough that it might hold up.

Keev 10-03-2002 01:24 AM

Dialers might get alitle more lovin now , not that we will like them more but more love for them

UnseenWorld 10-03-2002 01:36 AM

I still think the adult industry should form its own credit card processing company.

MetaformX 10-03-2002 01:40 AM

hey brad, sounds good. Ill throw in the perfect domain for this new billing company, for a small share of the company! hehe :thumbsup

rebills.com
:)

Mutt 10-03-2002 02:27 AM

playa do you also go by the name 'Gonzo'? 'Gonzo' was telling me about 6card.com.

I told him pre-paid cards have been tried a bunch of times on the adult Net without much luck.

But maybe if credit card processing gets tough this time more webmasters will give it a try and it has a chance to succeed.

boneprone 10-03-2002 02:30 AM

Jesus Bill

Mutt 10-03-2002 02:31 AM

Unseen World,

What would that do? IBill, CCBill, Epoch Jettis etc already pretty much are adult industry processing companies. Adult subscription sites are the bulk of their business.

So what would a credit card processing company that is strictly adult do any better? Nothing. In fact it would make it real easy for VISA or Mastercard to just close it down without worrying about mainstream merchants getting hurt.

mrthumbs 10-03-2002 02:57 AM

Surfers leave their address and Brad picks up the money..

Brad Mitchell 10-03-2002 05:15 AM

lol

No phone stuff, no prepaid cards, no paypal, no dialers... and no, I wouldn't be stopping by their houses to pick up the cash :1orglaugh

Before I was a p0rn0 guy I used to manage about a million and a half a month in patient and insurance collections. Very few people would be more qualified than myself to create this business model. :winkwink:

The thought of generating an A/R with tens of thousands of people at home makes me hard. :Graucho

Not as a replacement to other methods that are available, but if you change the way you think about how we do business - the value of services - how we collect - and how we pay referral fees... then this IS the next big thing. How do you think BMG and other mail order houses got so big?

Cheers,

Brad

In 99 they tried them prepaid cards it didn't fly. Maybe now is the time. The problem with these things is just one minor.

Brad, when is the baby due? So I can send you a gift! I love babies, as long as they don't belong to me and I can give them back. I got enough kids lol

How would the mainstream card companies get such a company closed down, and why would they want to? If this credit card company stuck to adult businesses, well this is business VISA and MC apparently don't want anyway.

hmm.... i think i see where youre heading... but... not really... :eek7

Brad Mitchell 10-03-2002 10:47 AM

We'll just call it DawgyCash. lmao

ColKurtz 10-03-2002 10:47 AM

Something that does this scenerio maybe....

a. Surfer goes to whateverbill.com and puts $30.00 dollars on their whateverbill.com account.

b. Surfer goes to somefucksite.com and wants to join. All they have to give is there whateverbill acct number and the fees are deducted from their account.

c. Surfer likes it because it is easier to join and they dont have to give whoeverthefuck.com their personal info.

Basically, slightly like an AVS type system only surfer dosent get access to every site using it.

Brad Mitchell 10-03-2002 11:11 AM

Nah that's too complicated. People are spontaneous, thinking that them having a 'deposit on account' is realistic.. is unrealistic.

The problem with those cards is dsitribution....getting them out to the masses....

I'm hoping this is a chance for PayPal to get their head's out of their asses, hire some competant customer service poeple and take over....probably won't happen, but I can dream.......

the fees are beside the point....it's the idea that VISA can run roughshod like this...but hey, their company, their policies (as much as they suck).....

Schwick 10-03-2002 12:31 PM

Brad,
Do you think that the offline billing thing would work? BMG and CH both charge for the shipping and handling by credit card. This way they have recourse if you do not keep your end of the bargain as well as they get away from the people that order as John Doe, get the free cds, and then skate. They would have to give their SSN and then it would have to be checked...yada yada yada.

flyingco 10-03-2002 01:31 PM

I know what I would do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SMS REVERSE BILLING. :)

I mean you now have vending machines that you can now buy cokes out of. Why not do the same with Cell phones? It will catch on I am sure.

-Nato

PS. If that ever happens, I am going to set up a telco company or buy over one.

dikkechill 10-03-2002 02:40 PM

Talking about Sms billing.

Sms Revenue is comming with great new features for both paysites owners and non paysite owners at the beginning of next week. Sms Revenue will be launching a set of services that will help to overcome alot of current limitations of online sms billing.

I can't tell much yet, but it's gona be a huge step forward.
If there are any paysite owners with or without affliate programs who are interested in smsbilling you can contact us at

Yeh that's what I was thinking to - as I thought that WAS there billing model, but I don't see how he could think that's a viable alternative.

Brad?

beemk 10-03-2002 08:28 PM

with bmg you get the product then you get the bill. then if you dont pay the bill they turn it over to a collection agency.
