AMERICANS - step inside please

It is easy to sit back, watch the news and bitch and moan to your friends and co-workers about the state of affairs in our country. However, day by day it's getting worse.

The dollar is tanking at an alarming rate with no sign of rising (while the deflate it more by printing more backed by nothing), the stock market is taking a beating, real estate is in the toilet for many states, our military and government spending is the highest ever, The Patriot Act seems to be slowly but surly replacing The Constitution and there is no accountability for the people who are flying this country blindly into the ground, lying to us along the way and planning the next illegal war and how to take away more of our freedom and privacy even as I write this.

Where does it end? Honestly? Am I the only one who sees VERY dark days ahead for our great nation?

For the first time in my life, I am worried about the future.

Where does it end? Never. Ah, people complain about something every decade.

The 90s started with the S&L Crisis, 1000 failed financial institutions, a recession and the fall of the Soviet Union. Then people worried about LTCM, the Mexican Peso Crisis the asian financial crisis and the Russian default.

In the early 80s we had an awful recession with high interest rates and a commercial housing crisis.

In the 70s we had stagflation, Vietnam and a president who resigned.

In the 60s we had the Cuban Missile Crisis and a president assassinated.

In the 50s we had the Korean War.

In the 40s WW II

In the 30s The Great Depression

It never ends. Life is good. Be Happy.

Do you substitute your TV with the internet or do you just not pay attention to the things going on in the world...Lies or not...I am just wondering out of complete curiosity as it sounds like an interesting idea.

TV is kinda boring. I only watch two shows and one of them is not in season right now.

become a member of, and donate to the ACLU. I am, and do.

P.S. maybe if Americans felt less threatened, generally, in their life - from say - their ignorance leading them to install some toolbars that they didn't necessarily want on their box... maybe more people would be less frightened, and be more inclined to stand up for their freedoms under the guise of them being removed for security.

Just a thought.

I'll add one to the mix:

And we're making terrorists faster than we can kill them.

Everything we've been told for the past 2 generations has been a lie...

There's a Revolution coming...

That's exacly how I feel - there is always something that is horrible happening.

Sometimes I wonder if it's just the press talking about doom and gloom all the time.....
