uunet is indeed haveing some problems. We have been on the phone with them this morning, Looks like a engineer, had tested the new cisco IOS and passed it to the installation crew. This IOS has a mojor bug. Problem? It was broadcasted to a large number of gateway routers during the upgrade, virtually taking down major routes in several cities... I'll pass along any updates I get |
yeh.... can't reach anything at Cavecreek from Aust.

Thank God I'm not going crazy. Couldn't get on GFY during certain times yesterday. And it was fucking up when I was browsing Netbilling.com today.
|
I couldn't connect to a lot of sites today, as well.
Some have been up and down, others always worked. So I know it's not my hardware causing this crazy behaviour. |
This is happening with me too. I thought it was my cable connection.

WorldCom Suffers Internet Outage
Thu Oct 3, 1:41 PM ET SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Struggling WorldCom Inc. , one of the major backbone providers of networks that route traffic over the Internet, suffered a major commercial Internet outage beginning at 8 a.m. EDT on Thursday, according to a company that monitors Internet performance. The problems, believed to be caused by a software glitch, are disrupting service for WorldCom's many corporate customers, and may be slowing the Internet down for others, said Tom Ohlsson, vice president of marketing and business development at Matrix NetSystems, based in Austin, Texas. WorldCom did not immediately return a call for comment. As much as 65 percent to 70 percent of the world's Internet traffic runs across WorldCom's network, he said. http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...om_outage_dc_1 |
