Tube sites pop up all over the net, I wonder how people are doing with them, so:

i think that's the problem with tube sites... you cant really make money with it.

Most of my tubes (which i dont feed traffic) at 1:200

Cranki, bandwidth is very low as all content is hosted by the sponsors servers, so they pay for the bandwidth. :)

My tube sites convert most my sponsor under 1 and 300.

I don't think tubes convert better or worse, it's probably more a question of what type of traffic you have.

Be careful about listening to people who are trying to sell you something so hard in every thread.

My Tube4Free converts 1:100 :D How about you?

What are you hoping for here, motivation to go start your own, or validation that it's a waste of time? Either way you won't believe it.

Only way is to start one and see how it does for you.

Here's another question...you have a restaurant, and it's good. But next door to your place, there's an all-you-can-eat buffet, and it's free. The food is yummy there, too. Almost all of it they don't even have to pay for.

There are two Asian restaurants 100 yards from each other not to far from me. One is $5.something buffet. The other is not a buffet. Both have about the same quality food, the one without the buffet has better sushi and rolls. I end up going to the buffet more. :2 cents:

I just sold my tube site but it was profitable on niched skim purchased traffic and a combo of PPS and revshare signups. No cams, no dating.

I don't run a tube site nor do I submit to any tube sites. And my conversions are just great :)

you just have to be creative on how to monetize its traffic

they rarely convert. tube sites good for ad revenue if u can find sponsors.

My "illegal" tubes which are full of user submitted content are just paying off the server fees and nothing else.. a little bit of profit but nothing worth to speak about from the sale point of view.. advertising spots are doing very nice!
Since we added the custom videosZ skin, shit is doing better.

My wareztraffic does a bit better, but you just cant compare it to real porn traffic.

Right now I´m just taking notes on which content owners/resellers that are not doing anything about their content on the illegal tube sites, so we can avoid paying money for content that others can just grab for free...

That's not true.
I have sold a lot of tube scripts and when i look at what webmasters do with them i wonder at all if they have a brain.

90% just use the standard text link under the video to send clicks to the sponsor. Sorry, that's not going to cut it these days. Add a banner at the top, bottom and banner on the right. Then make 50% of your thumbs go directly to that sponsors page.

I think webmaster have forgotten how to promote adult sites. If you keep the surfer on your site your going to make shit. You need to send them to the sponsor.
