One of these 3 paintings is worth $5.5 Million. Which one?

The other two are produced by grade school children.

I really don't have a clue...

pornask 01-27-2008 04:15 AM

the one in the middle seems to stand out to me. But that's just a guess. I don't know...

VoteForPedro 01-27-2008 04:15 AM

Top one.

After Shock Media 01-27-2008 04:15 AM

To me none of them as with art it is just worth as much as the next person will spend on it.

Though if I had to guess I would say the first one as it is the only one signed that I can see.

Drake 01-27-2008 04:27 AM

Exactly, it's as much as somebody is willing to pay for it. I actually like each of those, but wouldn't pay more than $200 for each.

Just wait before somebody starts telling you how special it is because it's rare. So are my grandmother's soiled undies.

AnneT 01-27-2008 04:31 AM

They are all brilliant. I'd happily have any on my wall.

My guess is the last based on the depth of the composition.

After Shock Media 01-27-2008 04:36 AM

BTW your hidden joke is funnies.

RayBonga 01-27-2008 04:38 AM

First one would be my guess

I'd have to agree... in all cases.

I'd definitely have to say 3, as well.

Drake 01-27-2008 04:41 AM

I remembered asking my kids'
second-grade teacher:

"Why are all your students geniuses?"

Look at the first grade - blotches of green
and black. The third grade - camouflage.

But your grade, the second grade...

Matisses, every one.

You've made my child a Matisse.

ThumbLord 01-27-2008 04:59 AM

number 3 is my guess

AnneT 01-27-2008 05:02 AM

Someone better tell us the answer!

You're just upset you didnt think of it first.

obviously you did think of it, but with half inch dick you have it would take you three years to finish that :2 cents:

The art market is all about speculative bubbles. Its very easy to justify spending lots of money on appreciating assets.

Drake 01-27-2008 05:32 AM

My guess is #3 because it's aesthetically the least appealing

DeadFidel 01-27-2008 05:40 AM

Zuss 01-27-2008 06:00 AM

Easy. #3 ..it's definatly the best of all 3. Not to say: amazing. Just look at the layering.

Trax 01-27-2008 06:24 AM

so... which one is it?

hateman 01-27-2008 07:43 AM

Third one (bottom)

hateman 01-27-2008 07:54 AM

Painting #1: Obviously made by some kid. The style is a giveaway (eyes)

Painting #2: Colors are too bright. Modern painting almost never cost $5.5 mil

Paintng #3: Actually looks interesting.

Yes. The reason why I started this thread.

Number 1 was made by a 6th grader with NO value.

Number 2 is a finger painting by a 4 yo girl in kindergarten.

Number 3 is an early Jackson Pollock, worth a lot more than 5.5, add a zero before the (.):thumbsup

$5.5 million? Well, you are talking investment there. I guess they appreciate at a pretty healthy rate.
