How long have we been told the world is ending? I remember it was supposed to end in the year 2000. I also remember it was supposed to end again in 2004 I believe. Now it's the year 2012? Oh, okay.

Because they're fake, people can't predict the future.

Well if we knew the stories of our assorted predecessors before Homo sapiens, I am sure some of them had stories about the end of the world.

Why would we believe someone from thousands of years ago? Diddn't they think the earth was flat back then? LOL so no I don't think it will end in our lifetime

Actually... quite a few people since at least ancient Greece theorized that the world was round.

They just didn't have the physics to back the assertion up.
