Decent video editing software for dummies
I'm looking for a some decent software for basic video editing that doesn't
require me to read a 500 page book before I can use it. Also need something for re-encoding to different formats Thanks :thumbsup |
Do you want decent, or easy to use? You know better than this!
VirtualDub is very simple, and does an ok job for being free. It's still a pile of shit, though. |
CS3 bit of a learning curve but well worth it.

I use Studio 11. I've tried a bunch and found this the easiest to use.

Premiere isn't too bad to learn. Lots of tips online if you get stuck.

This thread is funny because all editors are the same basically, vegas, premiere, blah blah blah
Same use - buttons in different places. |
Video Charge Pro is cheap and easy to use.

Apple's iMovie is a fairly robust, easy to use, video program (and there are some cool inexpensive plug-ins if you want bells and whistles).
Caveat: You'll need a Mac (but iMovie comes installed free). For more features there is Final Cut Express, and for industrial strength video editing, there is Final Cut Pro...well worth the invested time to learn it. For encoding, AutoDesk Cleaner. ADG |
