How i make a PNG file totally transperent and seamless so it will look crisp on any background color?

i am googling also

its not really possible. whatever the edge color is will not look crisp if its overlaid on the same color.

like if the pic has a black border and you place it on a black background , the border vanishes right.. i dont see any way around that, theres obviously a few tricks to make it better like multiple border colors or using a gradient on the edge, but it wont look EXACTLY the same on every background

Why? just curious. How are you using it?

have it on a layer on top of a transparent layer in photoshop, save for web, png-24, click the transparent check box.
