Do you live outside of the states? Why?

I see the states collapsing at an accelerated little rate, here, and that the laws are out of control.. where is a good place to live where the EUR and/or USD is strong, and, you can have trucks and cars without being taxed to death, and also own weapons?

Curious to see the answers..

After Shock Media 02-12-2008 12:24 PM

I do not think there is some magical place where both the USD and EUR is strong.

As for the states collapsing, really you think that?
Laws out of control? Which laws, which state?

I am sure though that there are plenty of places you can have trucks and cars without being taxed to death (honestly US taxes are not that bad), as for owning weapons I am sure again many places may allow it... Well outside of the EUR or North America at least if we are leaving the US out of it.

I am positive many live outside the US due to being born and raised outside of the US. Perhaps this question should be directed at those who left the US maybe?

Most laws in most states, I would imagine.. you're right, I do mean to ask this question of those who have left the states... I probably would not mind at all hearing from natives of other countries, either..

Case in point, this worthless little place I live in, you have to have a LICENSE in order to own a small animal such as a dog or a cat.. and I am sure it is spreading to other areas. The scary part is that there are quite a few scums who will actually agree with licensing house pets. I do not know where it will end but I am scared of it more every day and realize that I may have to leave until the revolution and then of course I will be the first one back to help fight for the people.

interesting question! I think most of europe the fuel price is gonna be high and people are not into stupidly large cars - some places may let you pack heat though, euro is good not sure about the $ though..

Most of central america you shoudl do well for your $'s but you're going to pay a lot for fuel. Also shit roads will fuck up any sportscar and import tax is going to make getting a big ass car in expensive. You can probly carry a gun though just remember to pay whoever off for the permit or if you get caught.

I'm sure they will let you pack whatever kind of gun you want in Israel! my friend went there and said kids have Uzi's and stuff so if you are realy gun crazy that might be the place to go + you might get to use it!

Not sure about the fuel prices they are right there where most of the oil comes from if you think about it! I think big cars would be ok + the dollar should do well there and the euro too? I guess its pretty warm being kinda desert like I guess you might need to convert to jewishness + stay off the buses and don't buy in an area where theres rocket attacks

s9ann0 02-12-2008 12:57 PM

oh yea Dubai might be one to look at I am pretty sure the petrol is cheap out there, not sure about the guns

I live in Mexico and have for 3 years. I just moved from North baja to Cancun, because of Safety.

The health people come around one time a year, and give free shots to pets. No questions. Gas is cheaper than in the states, Cars are about the same price wise. I temporarily imported my truck, as it is to new to do a full import of. When its time we will sell it here, and buy a new one here.

Milk is 6.50$ a gallon. but USDA beef is about 2.50$ per pound cheaper.

Its just things but you have to be able to deal with the issues that pop up.

Quality of life?

As a father I have to think of the culture our daughter grows up in.
Schooling.
Health care.
Cost of housing.

And the general over all culture of America. Yes I'm sure there are places which are great, in fact I've been to some, New Mexico, North Texas and Northern California.

But I have to live where I can work and those places are not suitable. Do I want my daughter growing up in a culture that places so much value on things that are wrong? Yes it's wrong to worry about how much you have rather than who you are.

Do I want to live where I will have to pay a fortune to get our daughter educated?

Do I want to live in a country where doctors can cost so much and I will have to work to keep medical benefits? If she gets sick here no one asks for my medical insurance, they cure her, no charge. We pay for it in our taxes. Yes it has downsides, but we live longer than people in the US. Go figure out why.

No we're very happy here. We could live in the UK tomorrow and choose to live here.

kmanrox 05-12-2008 01:43 AM

i moved cuz i did everything you could do in the states and was bored of it and wanted an adventure.... so i read about thailand, sold the porsche the next day and the house 1 month later... took off cold turkey to bangkok... havent looked back since... no worries about police here. or tickets... if you have $5 on you, you're covered... speed limits? fat chance of ever getting pulled over for speeding here... its happened to me before tho, and $5 solved the problem...

want some pussy? $15... want some sick shit? same? trannies? thousands of them... gangbangs? creampies? all night long

want to go to a 5 star beach resort? 35min plane right, 50$.... wanna go east sushi in tokyo? hop on a plane and you're there in like 6 hours... vietnam? 1 hour... singapore? 1.5hrs... cambo? .75 hrs... the list is endless..

want some good thai wonton soup? downstairs outside my building, 50cents a bowl... how about a nice 5 series 'limo' for the night? $20/hour... wanna blow 800$ on dinner? go to thedomebkk on the like 70th floor and throw down...

i could sit here all day and type why thailand.....

now that i live here... i am starting to appreciate it even more that i dont live in the US anymore...

watching american's reaction to the girl who got her ass beat in florida 'death penalty!!! life in prison!!' lol i beat guys asses worse than that when i was a kid, almost weekly.. even happend to me once or twice... welcome to growing up in whitetrash-ville....

watching bush decimate foreigners views of americans, its actually a little embarrassing sometimes when someone asks you if you're american... i am proud so i tell them... but my anxiety level goes up a hundred % when i admit it... thanks BUSH you babbling bafoon!

watching our elections is a joke, what is wrong with americans in the less educated states to vote for ppl like bush, TWICE? i realize ignorant ppl are easy to make an impression on, but surely there's some way to make up for elections based solely on the uneducated states... i have an idea, how about POPULAR VOTE elections! regardless, they were so close even in the popular votes... more proof of how americans minds are degrading...

now we have a hypocritical black guy, with a muslim past, who doesnt even open doors for women on the verge of being our next pres... or a crazed, emotionless menopausal women for christ sake... i dont know about mccain, but he 'looks' like a typical republican suit...

i could sit here all night and say why i think the USA is degrading... and only ppl who live in the usa would say otherwise...

Paul Markham 05-12-2008 02:03 AM

Hi kmanrox, had it all planned out. Sell or rent out the apartment in the UK, and go live in Thailand, probably one of the less well known islands. Would of had enough to last my life out and if I run short fly a girl in and pick up a camera to shoot a few times a year.

The Eva walked into my life. Still I'm happier than living in Thailand and she will not retire. :thumbsup

But I might come and see you for a holiday. Just no trannies please. :winkwink:

I really have a difficult time understanding one of the criteria for a new location is that you can own guns.....And then you could start to think about the global warming and exchange a big truck for something more environmentally correct.....

PowerCum 05-12-2008 03:34 AM

Somalia is a good place.

Euro , Dollars and whatever else money is ok there.
You can have a gun... in fact, it's recommended to have a machinegun. AK47s sell there for practically nothing. If you are white, you actually will have to use that gun if you want to survive more than few days (if you are lucky).

You can become a handsome pirate there and kidnap tuna fishing ships, then demand lots of money as rescue. YARRR

By the way... why do you need a gun? Do you have small dick or something?

Antonio 05-12-2008 03:46 AM

Monaco is quite cheap, a glass of beer costs only $35

Antonio 05-12-2008 03:48 AM

btw there's no place where you can own a gun legally (in a foreign country), in order to do that you need to become a resident at least (most likely citizen) of the country, that would take years...

I would give my right testacle to live in the USA. Been trying for the last year to find a way in but its very hard from someone from the UK. They want me to have a job lined up even tho I earn more than enough to support myself easily doing this. Can't at this moment find a way in and its annoying.

Ah, one more thing. Here is Russia I pay a fixed rate tax which is only 6%. Is is a good reason to live in this country? :)

First of all not really. The Russian law says: "illegal distribution of porn is prohibited". But there is no definition what is "legal and what is not". So porn sells in Russia absolutely openly and even included in many commercial TV packages. Just look:
http://translate.google.com/translat...F8&sl=ru&tl=en

Note 5 porn channels there. BTW, Stream.ru belongs to Gazprom which is also controlled by Russian government. So what's up with porn in Russia?

And the most important thing: I do not shoot porn at all, and course I do not distribute and adult materials in Russia.

E$_manager 05-12-2008 04:37 AM

not really or not at all?

are you going to gov to pay taxes and telling them - i'm selling porn and want to pay taxes?

"Not really" and "not at all" could be considered as synonyms in Russia. I showed you a commercial TV broadcaster that has 5 porn channels in their package. Do they pay taxes fro selling porn? What do you think?

Also, as I stated above I do not sell porn in Russia. As about the taxes. I pay them for working in "Internet Marketing". There is no such a field as "Porn Seller" in Russian tax system. So I pay my taxes fro the most suitable field, which is actually correct - because I'm really working in Internet marketing and no one case is it mainstream or adult.

Violetta 05-12-2008 05:38 AM

The Republic of Panama is an awesome place to live and very easy for an American to assimilate. Since the USA was in control of the canal for so long, there are a lot of US type aspects. However, it's a totally different country, different language, etc., so it's kind of a nice in between.

They show American football, have shows in English, you can buy See's candy for god sakes...I don't know about the guns though!!! However, a lot of people have gas guzzlers.

Also, for parents, they have some very good schools here, a lot of them are bilingual or trilingual. Also, a full time maid (which would cook, clean, take care of kids) is $250 to $300/month for live in (probably even a little less).

You can get good, national Panama beer for 50 cents to 1 dollar, depending on where, etc.

Panama City is a def. "normal" city, with nice restaurants, clean movie theatres, etc.

Don't even get me started on the Colombian working girls!!!!

I love Panama and yes, you can own guns here easily once you've got your immigration status worked out. I've got a guy for that. This is a place that is 110% about WHO you know, not what.

The official currency is the US dollar, which is even kind of nice as it tanks because things are already so cheap and they have to keep the poor insulated, so inflation isn't really an issue in a country the entire world depends on for their economies (the Panama canal). You can have bank accounts here in any currency you desire, including euros, yuan, yen, pesos (a few different kinds), pounds, lira, etc. There's 180 international banks with offices here. This is the Switzerland of the Americas.

Crime's virtually non-existent, it's a party culture, you're a quick, cheap flight from anywhere in the Caribbean, Central or South America and 3 hours to Miami, 4 1/2 to NYC, etc. There's tons of smoking hot latinas and more and more types of women from all over the world all the time.

Cars and trucks are easy and are not taxed hard. Credit's a bitch if you don't prepare well or bring enough cash, but there's ways around anything if you want it bad enough.

I moved here 2 1/2 years ago because I saw the writing on the wall for the US. I'm a Marine and I love my country, but that doesnt' mean I want to sit around and smell the shit everybody else is choosing to stick their heads in to ignore what's going on around them. I'll give the country 10 years or so to fall apart, then re-build itself and just hope that they get it right or at least closer to kind of, maybe a little more right this time.

While I usually agree with everything you say, I have to chime in here and disagree with you.

People float on tubes in the water and try to cross the Mexican border into the USA for several reasons, and none of which are because the USA is the best place on earth.

1) Location. It just so happens that the USA is the closest to them. Cubans and Mexicans would be stupid to attempt to go anywhere else. The list could end here but I will add more just for arguments sake.

2) Law. For Cubans we have the "wet foot dry foot" policy. If they make it to dry land, they get to stay. For Mexicans, once they make it across they are pretty much left alone because we don't have enough immigration officers to deal with the situation.

3) Jobs. We will work them. Legally or illegally, they will have work.

4) Family. Most of them have family here so it's easy for them to integrate right in and not skip a beat. Instant help.

5) Community. Cubans and Mexicans have their own communities in the USA. They don't have to learn how to speak English or even have to deal with Americans if they choose not to.

6) Children. A child born in the USA is an American. Plain and simple. 1000s of women cross the border just to have children here. Pretty smart.

If Canada was the closest county to them that offered them the same, you can bet your ass they would be pouring into Canada. The USD wins by default based on location alone. You don't see Cubans flooding into Mexico or Mexicans flooding into the Dominican Republic.

I'm not here to start trashing American, but god damn it has god damn to shit. Sometimes you need to step outside of the shit to get a clear perspective on how bad it really is. Live among the rest of the world and see how the US is really viewed and how fucked up it really is. I laugh when I turn on US News channels or read the news. Pure comedy. The American people are brain dead. When Brittany Spears is more important than genocide in Sudan, there is a problem. When the popular vote no longer is the deciding factor in who is running the country, you're fucked. When the government no longer works FOR the people, the entire concept of "America" is flushed down the shitter. I could go on and on, but no need. Expats know why they are gone, and people who still live there will never open their eyes to the situation. That's just the way it is.

Though let me add that it's not all bad and I am VERY fortunate to have been raised there. My dads sperm could just have as easily created me in some small rice farming village in Vietnam. So I guess I should be thanking my old man and his sperm. I will also say that I have no plans to ever live in the USA again. I do have to travel there for work, but outside of that... I'm happy to live and work abroad.

Actually income taxes just pays off the DEBT that the country owes. It wouldn't be so bad if my taxes were actually helping people.
