sweet tea or unsweet? Turn it off either way and pull out the battery and plugs. Let it dry out for 4 or 5 hours. Sweet tea might give you some button sticky, but if still up and running prob ok. Take a hair dryer to it to help out, just not too close.

Sugar will be the evil part or any acids such as lemon juice.

I would turn off all power to it, drain and clean as much as possible. Then if you can open it up and use a blow dryer on a lower setting to clean up what you can. Q-tips may also help suck out any liquid trapped inside of a small crevice or on the underside of a key. If you used any sugar/honey/lemon juice also consider using a Q-tip and carefully clean everything up with rubbing alcohol.

it's Lipton unsweet tea

ok thanks guys, i will power down, remove all the shit, and put a fan facing on it

FUCK i'm so pissed off for being clumsy, no matter how old you are, or what experiences you have (good/bad) there is no way to ever eliminate the few dumbshit things

baddog 02-14-2008 12:14 AM

I would be very careful about the hair drier as it is probably going to push liquids deeper in than they currently are. JMHO

papill0n 02-14-2008 12:14 AM

I agree, id let it dry on its own. If the computer is working itsprobably safe. id just worry about sugar stickiness.

jscott 02-14-2008 12:22 AM

Ok well its reassuring then since it there is no sugar at all :)

It's upside down on my bed with a fan on it, the fan on high, kinda far away, so it will have the dry-on-it's-own effect hopefully

thanks GFY :)

bobby666 02-14-2008 12:44 AM

Why bother with a fan at all? id let it dry on its own..

NinjaSteve 02-14-2008 02:18 AM

Dunk it in the toilet so you can rinse the Tea off. If it doesn't work, send it in as a submission to Myth Busters :D

jscott 02-14-2008 04:19 AM

I'm back on my comp :) everything seems A-ok!!! (so far)

viencarl 02-14-2008 05:14 AM

Use hair dryer to take off all the liquid

florin 02-14-2008 06:44 AM

Vick! 02-14-2008 11:58 AM

1) Remove battery
2) Open it
3) Wash with patrol thoroughly.

4) Show it matchstick.

Davy 02-14-2008 12:05 PM

First thing you need to do it turn it off immediately! Doh!

nikki99 02-14-2008 12:10 PM
