I am talking with a friend the other day about random violence. I guess I was naive, never being a victim of anything.

Then it happens to me. I am walking back to my car after a night of being out with two friends. There is a group of 5 guys and a girl behind us, couple black guys and 3 spanish guys. They kept trying to provoke my one friend that was super drunk. I did the whole separate everybody type thing and told them "look my friend is really drunk, he didnt do anything etc etc" They lay off a little bit but still follow closely.

Then the girl in their group comes up right beside us and is like "holy shit, these guys just said they hate N*ggers" which was completely not even true, I was sending a text message on my phone and my other friends were talking about a girl they know. We turn around and crack, the fists start flying. Naturally they attack my really drunk friend first, he takes 2 solid punches in the face before I pull him away and down to the ground to get him away from the punches. As i am doing that I was attacked by two of the guys, one nailing me in the left jaw and another in the back of the head. Which I gotta say, surprisingly did not hurt at all till the next morning, and I gotta call these guys pussies for the sheer fact that they got 2 free punches on me that I did not even know were coming and it didnt do shit.

My one friend is laying on the ground, bleeding but fine, my other friend i lost sight of. I look around and 2 of the attackers see I am still standing (the others ran off like cowards) These guys start running at me screaming "we are gonna kill you whiteboy" I am still perplexed at this whole situation. So I jumped over a railing into a patio bar, which is ironic because the bouncers thought I was trying to jump the bar and roughed me up.

I am still kind of pissed about the whole situation, this came out of nowhere and on Valentines day of all nights. The thing that shocks me the most is HOW FAST, shit like this goes down. Even if you had a gun or a knife or anything, I think without the proper training, you would not even have a chance to use it.

Damn, crazy story. It could have been much worse though. Glad you're ok.

Not exactly any other options, it was the only path way to where everyone was heading. I am fine, my friend who got punched a few times in the face is taking it kinda hard on himself.

Tip: Learn Wing Tsun

within 6 months of training you can defeat yourself quite good. I have a friend who has been doing Wing Tsun for over 20 years. He once got attacked by two turkish guys because he tried to help a women who they molested. He broke one guys skull and the other one's splines with his hands.

Yeah i totally agree. People seem to think that it's going to be like Movie Violence or something. Where 5 guys surround one and they each wait their turn to attack the guy in the middle. Realistically they are just all punching you.

I never got to throw a single punch and I am not trying to make myself seem like some crazy tough guy, but I know 1-1 I could of easily beaten down 3 out of the 5 (Separate occasions heh) But it was obvious these guys have done this shit before and you never know what they have, knife etc.

Been in similar situations before, and you're right it is often the bitch girl (or the smallest punkiest guy with the biggest mouth) that causes the situation to flare up. I hope that in all the turmoil someone had the wherewithal to administer a decent bitchslap her way. :D

Please, I've witnessed people start attacking other people for NO reason other than they were the ones closest to them. As recently as last weekend in fact. Bunch of college kids were walking down the street after the bars were closing and just started randomly attacking people. I sat back and watched. This isn't in a ghetto either, this is in a predominantly white Canadian small city.

Also had it happen to me. Sitting in pervert's row in a strip club minding my own business and I suddenly take a full beer bottle to the back of the head. Took me 2 minutes to even figure out what happened because I never spoke to anyone in the whole place except my friends and the strippers, and by the time I turned around the bouncer was already dragging the guys out who did it. Never even had a chance to say "hello" or "fuck you" or "why did you just smash a bottle over my head?"

The only common factor between any attack like that is alcohol.

What's so funny? I am doing Karate since I am 8 years old and you need years of weekly training to be able and defend yourself because in Karate you do not practice real life fight situations. Wing Tsun / Blitz Defence are completely different and very effective. Obviously you have no idea about WT.

i got rolled once in my life - it's a shitty feeling and i still think about it once in awhile. really amazes me how pathetic so many people are - but thinking the average guy can do a Bruce Willis and take on 2 or 3 guys, even one guy who outweighs you by 30 or more pounds is retarded. best thing is to get out of it alive and try to write it off without making yourself feel like a loser.

People will dissagree with me but here's what I solidly believe. By trying to
calm the situation when they started to show interest in you guys they felt
you and your friends were scared of them.....their balls grew inmediately
after that.

Whenever something like happens to me....I walk right up there start throwing
oil on the fire and when I see it doesn't impress them a bit I inmediately start
throwing punches without stopping till they're down and out.....best is
to straight for the clown with the biggest balls as he knows he'll be
fighting alone and his friends will run off as they all look up to him.....when
the tough guy gets targetted the balls of his friends shrink like mincy litlle
faggot balls...

Tough guy has more to lose by fighting than he can win.....He can lose his
respect of his friends by getting his ass kicked. And his ego will be seriously
bruised.....so 99% of the cases they don't want to fight unless you give
the idea they can't lose.......so don't give it to them.

in 99% of all cases you won't have to fight and they leave you alone....if
it does turn out into a fight it would have happened regardless of what you
do so any of this can't make things worse.

Wrong.....it's not about really being able to kick the asses of 3 guys without
getting as much as a single scratch....it's about making them feel you can.
It's very strange for a big guy when a smaller guy has no fear.....it makes
them question how come you're not scared as he's obviously much bigger
and simple logic tells him there must be a reason why you feel you can win.

They get insecure and uncomfortable by the feeling and wonder if you might
be armed, master some serious ninja skills or whatever......People generally
really don't like to get in a fight when they're NOT convinced they will win
it....especially not big guys....and even more so when there's witnesses
standing around who could possibly see him getting his ass handed to him.

Of course there's exceptions....but usually if they want to fight with you
they will.....no matter what you try to do to convince them not to. The
best way to convince them not to is simply...by making them feel less
secure about their decission to start messing with you. :2 cents:

I took kickboxing for years. I still practice kicking for the hell of it. I could easily kick someone in the head/throat/back of the head easily if I have the range. But stuff doesnt work out like they train you. If I had a 3-4 foot range I could of easily done that. They rush you, and when they have the upper hand with not only people but surprise, its a whole other ballgame.

Worse, friends birthday in the grove. For those that dont know,the grove is a 3-4 block radius of really cool college bars, full of beautiful girls and never any problems. The issue is the area that borders the grove is a ghetto. Occasionally these hood rats come in and start trouble.

Fucked up. That bitch deserved a lot of beating. Not exactly the same, but sort of similar situation I saw last summer when a slut of that type put her bouncer bf to send a customer to hospital for no reason and even when the poor guy was down all bleeding she was telling him to hit him more.

Mix guys under the influence and mouthy women and you have trouble. I've been there and done that, too. Not much you can do but exit the scene without leaving a friend behind. You never know how far these people are willing to take it and a bit of wounded pride is better than risking your life.

Young people out to start a fight usually accomplish their goal since it takes no brain. Which is convenient since when more than 2 teens get together, the collective IQ drops significantly.
