mp3 player suggestions

I'm lookin for an mp3 player that is small, light and good for running/exercising.

It also needs to be flash memory upgradable perhaps to 512MB, etc.

Anyone have one that they would recommend?

Flash memory at those sizes is stupidly expensive. Why not get an iPod (available for Windows) with a 5, 10, or 20 gig hard drive? I have the original, and I love it. Nice sound quality, 1200 songs, never skips, great software...

There are alternatives out there, of course. However, most of the competing products are a lot bigger. Needless to say, none are as slick. I may be a Mac nut, but I genuinely think this is the best MP3 player out there...

thinking of buying the ipod...still using my old 96mb mp3 player that i've had for 2 years...how many batteries does ipod use and how long do they last?

iPods might be cool, but a hard drive will eat batteries for breakfast (unless you tell me otherwise)...

right?

Try the Apple Ipod it is the best
up to 20 gig you can use it like a firewire hard drive too really useful.
The ipod is really smaller than the other high capacity mp3 player

doesn't it eat batteries for breakfast?

have you considered CD Mp3 player? it's great, you can swap cds if u got like 10 gigs of mp3s, no need to reupload.

even big companies like sony make em now, i have iriver, it rox.

The iPod has a built in rechargeable. Recharges when it is plugged into the computer, or you can plug it into the wall directly. (Uses the firewire cable either way, with a clever adaptor for the wall.) Battery life is pretty good, they say 10 hours I think my (older) iPod gets less.

I mean... 5,000 songs on the 20 gig iPod... Firewire speed transfers. Synch with your music collection. Size of a deck of cards... You get the idea. No competition.

I'm also looking for a flash player. Why do you all come with HD / Cd players? These players do use more batteries and are move heavy. I think I'm going to buy one of these:

Anybody any experiences with the players above ?

Can you store also normal PC-Data on an Ipod? I mean can I just fill it also with all content I got for transfer onto another pc?
