Facebook Friend Adder Programs - Anyone Tried It?
 

I know a lot of you are getting on facebook, mostly for pure social purposes, as did I.

A little while ago I came acrross these 'facebook adding' bots that let you add friends or invite people to groups, etc... it's basically a mass adder, similar to Myspace.

I have a new (mainstream) product that I'm trying to promote and have been thinking of buying one of these programs (one i've been checking out is at freefacebookadder DOT com) to do a small campaign towards very targetted people (foreigners in Barcelona).

I know that facebook is super strict with this and I'm nervous about getting my personal account deleted (even though I'd be using another account for this purpose).

Can anyone shed any light on this situation from experience?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

lol, well i dont know about that man, you are way better off making a facebook application or having one made that people can use then develop it to advertise your product

hahahahahaha too funny man, actually that's pretty much the response I expected. Anyone on this board who knows me knows im the furthest thing from a spammer lol. I'd actually be using this program to add just a very small amount of people to a group that can help them. These targetted people are already in facebook groups where they are seeking info or friends in barcelona.

yeah I hear ya. I probably wont end up using it, just wanted to know if anyone had. I know a lot of people that do lots of different things on myspace so I thought someone might know something about the crazy epidemic of facebook. thanks :winkwink:

Tell me who you frequent and i will tell you who you are, you know too many spammers to be clean.

"Bots" are not for respectable companies and individuals.

Do the work manually. I personally hate calling into a store or company, and not being able to get out of the automated customer service. So do you think people will like being added by a bot??? Personal touch sells much better

true dat. And our project is all about the personal touch anyways. I'll just hammer it out over here manually :)

you can differentiate between a bot add and a manual add in this case? :1orglaugh
