How long do they last?
and do they go fade away completly?

They fade out REALLY fast enless you have it gone over a couple times.. My brothers was almost gone within about a month or two...

I think its because your mouth heals really quickly. Sorta how when you burn your mouth of something too hot it heals after a day.
