Someone on this board lied about making a donation...
 

Im trying to be a good bro and I am giving the person 24 hours to get in touch with me and provide me proof the donation was made. I am also making sure there is no missunderstanding before I flame someone.

I won a competition a few months back and elected to have the company donate my winnings to webmaster toy run. I contacted webmaster toy run recently to follow up to make sure the donation was made. They said they have never received anything from the individual.

This person now claims to have me on ignore, but I think I have given out enouh information for someone seeing this to know who I am talking about and to contact for me since I can not. I'm not going to name names yet incase he made the donation in his moms name or something crazy like that. The most likely company name and his name was checked and unless Webmaster toy run is missing something they said they never received anything from the guy.

Lets get this taken care of or get me proof if you made the donation and there was a mistake.

This is regarding us and $1500 donation to WMTR. This was of course going on during a very busy time last year and Michelle was supposed to contact WMTR and let them know the donation would be made for this coming holiday season. It will still be made no matter how much of an asshole Will76 is.

How is Will a piece of shit because you failed to make a promised donation? Busy or not, you made a commitment and failed to make it happen, I would think an apology would have been in order rather than calling out Will. I sincerely doubt that if Will hadn't of started this thread that you'd have ever made the promised donation.

He never named names, all you had to do was email him privately and tell him the donation would be forthcoming, seems you're the one escalating the drama.

Will is an asshole. He could have just as easily have called me or ICQ'd me to say "Hey, John what happened with that donation?", and he would have gotten the same answer that was posted here. But he had to make a drama thread on GFY about it.

Just like he was so interested in an update on the security issue for the past few months that as soon as we posted a thread about a special offer he had to jump in it with his drama and bring it up. If he really had an interest in knowing what was going on I am very reachable and he could have reached out to me. The truth is he doesn't have an interest in finding things out, the only thing he cares about is creating drama here and getting attention. His track record over the past year or two is that time and time again. This makes him, as I said, a piece of shit and why he landed himself on my ignore list.

So I should email him privately, but he should come here and make a thread. Odd.

Yes you should have emailed him, you made the mistake, not him, he was gracious enough not to call you out by name. I always wonder why some in the industry are so hyper sensitive to using gfy to communicate especially when no details are even being discussed.

BTW, I am not making up drama over a donation. That is why I didn't call you out, you choose to "out" yourself. You could have contacted me and said " opps we forgot and we will make the donation now." and I would have let this thread die.... hence the " 24 hours to contact me and get this settled" comments I made.

Keep in mind this contest was something you ran back in JULY and a winner was suppose to be announced August 1st. A winner wasn't announced till Dec because you were " too busy". Then you talk about how generious I was to donate the winnings and that it would to a good cause but you couldn't take the 10 minutes to make donation????

The donation was suppose to be for last holiday season not this upcoming one. And no need for you to wait 10 months to donate it, I am pretty sure they take donations through out the year.

John it took you longer to make the announcement post than it would have for you to make the donation. This was still 2 weeks before Christmas, why didn't you make the donation last year... now you saying you will do it "this upcoming holiday season" wtf, if you saying you going to do something then do it. John, If i didn't care about the donation, I would have given you my paypal account and asked you to send me the $1000 I won. Do you really think I said " hey John I don't need the money lets donate it to a good cause.... " but Iwas secretly hoping that you would not make the donation so I could call you out for it 3 months later. DO you really think that was my plan from the beginning. So let's see if I understand it correctly:

- too much media or some other "business" that PBucksJohn is affiliated with collects money from people uses the "donation" excuse to get as much as possible

- money collected is never donated but used for whatever other purpose

- someone notices that and asks what the fuck was going on and why the money was not donated as promised

- PBucksJohn comes and starts a name calling rampage and personal attacks to steer away from the real issue - to hide the fact that they never donated the money

This is the lowest of the low. Cheating people by making them believe they are donating the money only to collect it and keep for themselves? And need to be called out to take action and their action is personal attacks against the person who pointed out their cheat... If this is what is happening here, then all I can say is – WOW! Somebody actually does business with these people?

No, thats completely off base.

Will won a contest and decided to donate his prize to the charity. No money was collected. This was roughly 10 days before the holiday the donation was for.

Charlie, who handles all of our finances was out of town at that point until after the new year and we were going through a bit of an issue that had me very tied up to say the least.

As the days ticked off and I realized it was only a few days to the holiday I asked Michelle to contact WMTR and let them know we would make the donation for the following season. Apparently that didn't happen.

No one collected money on behalf of a charity and stole it. No one ever intended not to make any donation. Things just simply couldn't happen in a few days with what was going on.

What a weird thread.

Why didn't you just donate $1500 of your own money right then and let the biz reimburse you later? It would have taken 5 mins tops in epass.

as far as I can tell from observation, will76 spends the vast majority of his time either being a crusader for the lastest industry "cause" or looking for / manufacturing the next 'cause' as some weird kind of narcissistic ego masturbation.
