Im going to buy a new laptop

but dont know what cpu to get



what one should i get ?

AMD Turion

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core

or should i go for a intel one ?

Core Duo. I'd never own AMD again. Far too many problems with cheap support hardware with shitty North/Southbridges.

Out of that set, the 64 X2 is probably going to be the best.

only intel for me...amd always sucked, although cheaper.

go for intel core 2 duo or quad

Oh man, I just got an AMD Turion 64x2 Dual Core 1.9 ghz based laptop :(

The AMD Turion 64 X2 is faster then the Amd Athlon 64 X2 in laptops.

The Amd Aurion 64 X2 is also faster at single processes over the pen dual core but for multi tasking pen dual core would be the way to go.

If you got the money to spend go core 2 duo, if your not going core 2 duo go with the Amd Turion 64 X2 I just bought the Satellite a215-s5818 and it runs the amd turion 64 x2 and I am very happy with its performance.
