Adsense question...one account on multiple sites?

I use adsense on some mainstream sites that I've had for a long time. They recently shut down my account for what they vaguely referred to as "invalid clicks". As I don't spend my wee hours clicking my own ads, I bitched successfully and my account's been re-instated.

My question is on using one adsense account across multiple sites. In this case, it's on about 120 sites and has been for quite a while. I didn't think that was a problem, but a couple of people have told me that's why they shut it down. Of course, Google provided me no more of an answer than to simply re-instate the account.

Somebody told me something about using multiple campaign codes, one for each site. Since I don't think adsense uses campaign codes, but rather "channels"...maybe that's what I need to do?

I'm no adsense master, it's just a couple bucks I use on placeholder sites that have been there for a looong time. But, I could really use some good advice from somebody who really knows adsense on what to do with that set up.

Thanks! :thumbsup

i'd be interested in finding out about this too. i do know that they apply smart pricing across the whole account and not by a channel/site basis which i think is a pain, as i have a lot of shitty sites and some high click value sites all on the same account.

No...totally mainstream, mostly blogs.

That sounds strange to me too... I know people who have just as many sites and never run into any problems? Setting up all of those channels will be a tad bit time consuming but it may be beneficial in the long run anyways just to see how each site is performing.

Yea I use a channel for each site, good for stats etc.

Ya, definitely comes in handy, especially if you plan on selling any of the sites in the future.

That way you can show the exact revenue the site made (using the channels)
