So they are working on a condo/office project across the street, and this big ass crane just tipped over.

Curiously, or not, they're surprisingly flimsy - only built to take perpendicular stresses.

thats what i was thinking when i saw the pic too, lol. it just looks like a big picker truck to me. funny either way though, i was just expecting like a 200ton tower crane or something...

wish my brother never wiped my damn flashcard :( i had a bunch of pictures from when i worked railroads construction of equipment crashes and derailed trains and shit.our picker truck operator jumped the highrails off the track and derailed on top of a 350 foot tall bridge. he had to inch his way all the way across it. it was some sketchy shit. in the mornings you'd ride through the fog coming up off the river and you've be surrounded by white, all you could see was the track and pure white, like floating through a void. you were a long fucking way up. i also had a picture of a half dozen train cars dangling off the end of the same bridge from a previous derail there and another of a half dozen cars skewered on a rail like a giant shiskabob. FUCK am i mad he wiped that card on me. i really hope i was smart enough to pull them onto my harddrive at some point, i love equipment wreck photos, lol....

Hopefully nobody was seriously hurt. We have had people die in London when similar things have happened to cranes they were working on.
