Is it illegal to take a picture of a undercover cop?
|
serves him good.
the agents were arresting a drug dealer. the asshole should have minded his own business. |
If the police do not want undercover vehicles identified, they should not bring the cars and trucks when they execute search warrants, Britt said.
that sums it up. More proof even the best cops are dumb as rocks. |
I took digital camera photos of an officer parked in my driveway. Turns out he was looking for a murderer in my area with my description, however, our hair wasn't the same, but we worked in the same building.
Weird.. but he called me in an hour and asked if i took a pic. |
Abuse of power, imo
|
The guy is lucky he was not black, they would have beat the shit out of him and broke his phone.

i think it is best to stay on the good side of any cop...especially undercover ones, who get away with alot more.
|
Too bad he is white.
|
I would think it is... you could endanger their lives if they are found out.
|
I'm sure 99.9% of you would think differently when your being mugged walking down the street and your desperately trying to dial 911 on your cell...
Oh - but everyone here is a tough guy and that would NEVER happen to them :) Okay nevermind then. |

absolutely nothing. as previously stated, if they didn't want undercover vehicles identified, they shouldn't have brought them to the bust. they were on a public street, in view of anyone who may have passed by. guess what? that makes it legal to take their pictures. |

I'm not bashing cops, I grew up with both parents as cops. But if you are doing something they don't like, even if it's not against the law, they can give you a hard time if they want to. |
Guys violation of his rights there is some shit you just can't do.
This is one of those things. The law is there for a reason, fucking with it is dumb, and I say good job to the cops who took the phone because freedom is great but when it could get someone who's doing nothing more than protecting a community then that 'freedom' ought to be hushed. |
They get bent out of shape for having a photo taken, but... how is that any different than survielance footage?
If a business or your home has security cameras installed and they come on your property it takes video footage of them and their vehicles. I can't recall ever hearing about cops crying about that, yet if someone takes a pic with a camera they come around playing the role over it? Cops take a lot of unfair flack for a lot of things, but some things like this just show that a lot of the criticism is warranted. Basically it's often no wonder at all why so many people hate cops. |
