Not dead not at all there are some great new punk bands coming up in the scene my favorite being HiFi Handgrenades and I just recently saw Bad Religion 25 years strong of music that has a real social and political conscious. I mean will there be another Clash or Ramones or Bad Brains (who's new album is pretty good if you like reggae) No probably not but I can see new shit coming from the decendants and 7 seconds I mean they both put out albums in the last 4 years
