SHIT! Netherlands Bans Sex with Animals

Netherlands Bans Sex with Animals

The ban was two years in the making, but the Dutch parliament has finally decided to outlaw bestiality and animal pornography.

The Dutch parliament voted unanimously Thursday to ban sex with animals and pornography depicting bestiality. Anyone breaking the law now risks being sent to jail for up to six months. Until now, Dutch law had only forbidden bestiality in cases where animal suffering was involved.

By passing the ban, the Netherlands joins the ranks of 80 countries where animal pornography is explicity forbidden, Harm Evert Waalkens, the member of parliament who proposed the law, told the Associated Press. "The Netherlands has been a magnet for perversities -- and we want to stop that," Waalkens said, adding that pornographers had lobbied fiercely against a ban.

The Party for the Animals, however, which has two members of parliament, wanted the ban to be more wide-ranging. The party's Esther Ouwehand called for the castration of pigs and the artifical insemination of cows to also be outlawed, too.

Good.. about time

polish_aristocrat 03-22-2008 04:10 PM

I think Holland is changing - they don't want to be considered such a liberal country anymore. That's why they want to limit prostitution, coffee-shops, now bestiality etc...

But I don't think they will ban gay marriages and euthanasia :glugglug

After Shock Media 03-22-2008 04:14 PM

They wanted to ban artificial cow insemination and pig castration, ok WTF is this some PETA style fringe group?

DaddyHalbucks 03-22-2008 04:23 PM

No surprise on this.

all the jokes etc. aside, i see its a 'funny' decision, but keep in mind it's a decision of a Bush minded government. I dont have a point against or with the specific point, i am just against the banning of it because it says 'Bush politics' all over. It's the opposite of alot of simple minds but to me it feels like a crucial decision. It doesn't have anything to do with what it is about; it has everything to do with how our country is now and how it will gonna change. It's a black page in the book called 'the Netherlands' which will change us forever.

Deputy Chief Command 03-22-2008 08:56 PM

hmm . .as far as I know nothing has been banned yet . . the news report you state is from march 14 . . the day before there was a hearing . . there are intentions to ban it but it has not actually been banned yet . .

dude.... you cannot see the big picture.
the Netherlands is going down fast. The red light district is being brung down to a couple of streets now. It's only a matter of time when they forbid weed. And i garantee you, weed WILL be illegal in 3 to 5 years. BOOKMARK this fucking thread/post if you will. I know I'm right and it makes me fucking sad. Holland became a christian+muslim abiding country and it is making me fucking sick. RELIGION KILLS.

Iron Fist 03-22-2008 09:20 PM

I don't understand all this banning crap... if you wanna fuck an animal... go and fuck it.. just keep it out of my sight... trust me, i wouldn't know the first place to begin looking for thi kind of stuff... so how popular can it possibly be? Popular enough we need to draw public attention to it and write laws against it?

Maybe I just don't get it.

So.. making it so people can't legally fuck dogs leads to criminalization of the whole sex industry and drugs.. and somehow, this is also a religious issue, now.

If it happens, I feel that the criminalization of drugs may actually assist you.

If you can show how banning dogfucking is going to lead to you eventually having an RFID chip implanted in your neck, without sounding like a nutbag, we're all ears.

I think he's just very anti-govt - anything that compromises freedom of choice is his enemy. He might like it in Kenya - not too many laws there!

Dirty Dane 03-22-2008 10:00 PM

That sucks....

Deputy Chief Command 03-22-2008 10:02 PM

again . nothing has been banned . . on march 13 there was some sort of hearing on a proposition made a year ago

all the media is reporting bullshit like usual . .

dude, you keep concentrating on the subject of the law. Look i wish they would put this law through several years ago. But under this government its clearly the christian religious influence that plays a huge part, and that i dont like. If it was a moral question, im totally for that. But that has a religious mark, and with this same mark this government thinks THAT is the cause, and THAT is the way to ban other freedoms we have. The relgious argument that this law got through is wrong to me. If it was moral i wouldn't be saying anything, it's the religious argument that just doesnt sound right. You know that religious people are 75% of sex offenders in the BeNeLux, right?

quantum-x 03-22-2008 10:56 PM

Banning artificial insemination, honestly - the most stupid idea, ever.

Paul Markham 03-23-2008 12:25 AM

It's good news. It gets rid of another tool for the anti pornographers to use. We like everyone else need laws. We need to follow them. Otherwise we have anarchy and an easy target for our enemies.

DjiXas 03-23-2008 12:29 AM

NL, my favorite country = no more

k0nr4d 03-23-2008 03:44 AM

damn, may as well cancel the vacation i had planned to there then :(

justsexxx 03-23-2008 03:56 AM

Funny how ppl say it's less liberal...I mean it's just cruel...And they wanna stop that...

Some farmers reported bleeding sheep. Now that is just sick, and there was nothing todo about it. Even when the guys/girls who did it were caught.

As far as prostitution, that is still fine. HOWEVER, they wanna close down the criminal organisations behind those 'windows'

I agree the 'BIBOB" law is strange and maybe not 100% legal, time will tell.

The netherland once was a land of the free. Now it's slowly becoming a land of the free - in terms of the US.

Very sad.
