I wish I could say that I have always followed the advice that I give in these tutorials. However, the truth is that sometimes there are hints and tips I came to later than I should have.
This tip is one of those, I have never really been a porn consumer to the level where I would know the names of more than the very famous pornstars. On top of which, I don't work much in 'general' niches so I didn't run into many pornstars in the content I would be using.
However, when I was working in my niches (BBW, Mature and fetishes mainly) I was seeing the same models over and over again. What it took a little bit to dawn on me was that if I was seeing these faces over and over again then so were the surfers. So, of course, these models would take on a following of fans and it was when I took that into consideration and started learning their names that I started to bring in considerably more surfers and therefore money.
If you look at many sites today you will see that they list the models that feature on their sites alongside of photos of the models. This is a really good way of quickly learning the stage names of these models that show up time and time again on various sites.
Take particular notice of the ones that show up on niche sites and use that to your advantage to lure in their fans. They may not be household names but, if for example, a model is a frequent face on BBW of mature sites then chances are she is known to the loyal surfers of those niches. Make use of the fact that a lot of webmasters won't take the time to figure out who the 'niche celebrities' are and be the one in the know.
I have lost count of the number of times I have seen a famous BBW model on the tour of a site just as another no-name model. If the people that run the site don't know who they have that doesn't mean the surfer's won't and especially if your pages are telling them. Even if the sites give the models the 'wrong' names don't worry about that. Tell your surfers that a site has a model but by a different name. Most of them understand porn models having various names and in the end if they are fans all they want is a chance to see her again.
Of course, you don't have to go down to the lesser promoted niches to make knowing model names work for you but it is a way to give you an edge up on other webmasters exploring those niches that may not be interested in fulling researching them first.
